Sentinel is really what your looking for, but you can probably get by with the usual Sent knockoffs.
I dont know why I didnt think of it sooner, but if you are using the centurion rush assist, you can get frank into level 5 by just calling the assist after frank recovers from his super. take a picture, get the bounce, take another. ive gotten the bounce and experimented with followups, but I guess since im new with frank I wasnt thinking lol.
Right now, my Nova team is Nova, Wesker, Taskmaster. Nova works well with Wesker and Taskmaster, but Wesker and Taskmaster do not work great at all so I’m looking to make adjustments.
I used Spencer throughout the entirety of vanilla, so I could use Nova, Spencer, but I’m not down with rocking Sentinel. I know how great drones are, but I do not want to be a walking mixup with everyone having instant overheads on me. Maybe I’ll try Nova, Spencer, Taskmaster. But Wesker is my best character, so this probably wouldn’t be my main team. I’d have to set something different for the Nova, Wesker team. Good stuff though FlyingVe. Gave me some nice ideas.
if you play nova as anchor along with spencer and wesker, you have a) all your “mains” in one team, and b) some SCARY unblockable pressure along with many cross ports / ziplines.
I think Spencer is essential for Nova, and obviously I stand by my team, (it’s mine after all), but I think you have alot of options for that 3rd slot.
I don’t really like Wesker there, because he does nothing to help nova get in or stay safe, and I think Nova like help in both those areas.
I’ve been running Hawkeye (Triple Shot)/Nova (Centurion Rush)/Doom (Plasma Beam) and it’s been working out pretty decently. Anyone think this is decent too? Or should I switch up the order or something? Also, what would be the best to help Nova get in? I have little trouble with Doom because of the way his Down-Forward airdash works, but Nova’s is different, and I always feel really unsafe when I tridash in.
Yea Wesker definitely wouldn’t be apart of a Nova, Spencer team. Some sort of project assist would be in that last spot. I’ll be trying Taskmaster first before anyone else.

So if I were to run Spencer/Nova, what would Spencers assist be and out of the following chars: Hulk, Taskmaster, Dorm, Hawkeye, what would be the order and the char?

Nova + Drones is really scary, and task and nova dhc well into each other.
I have to agree Nova and Spencer are working absolutely great with each other I’m running them both along with Doom because his Plasma is just so good with Spencer when he Air Wire Pull to the opponent and of course his j.S is just absolutely ridiculous.
Out of those, I’d favor Task and Hawkeye, but you could make Hulk work too (Hulk has really good assists). Order is kinda up to you.
So who should be point, Nova or Spencer? And which Spencer assist do I use?

Spencer should be on Slant shot, and Nova should be before Spencer.
I’m asking because I’m brand new to Spencer. So it should be Nova (which assist, the overhead?)/Spencer (slant shot)/ and either Task/Hawk/Hulk?
Ok I have 2 teams I’m trying to figure out how to run. Spidey Hulk Nova, 2nd team is Spidey Nova Hawkeye. I haven’t touched Hawkeye too much so I’m unfamiliar with him. But any advice on assist and what order to use? Can Nova make a good anchor?
I’m fairly committed to making Spencer/Skrull/Nova work in some kind of order. That is the current order I’m running with as Spencer and Skrull both benefit immensely from Centurion assist, and Nova as anchor is interesting because of the red health thing.
But, obviously that limits the amount of time I have Nova on point. I usually end up tagging in Skrull when Spencer gets in trouble or I’m killing off a character/assist (Bionic Arm->Torch to safe tag in, Arm or Maneuvers into Inferno for killing people off), so I’m left with Spencer/Nova at some point in most games. There are a few ways to get Nova in, most notably exchanges, but I’m not opposed to changing the order around.
Nova/Spencer/Skrull is pretty cool. It keeps the Nova->Spencer order and Skrull is retarded in XF2-3. But, Skrull doesn’t really help out Nova get in by way of Assists. And he’s a meter hog.
Skrull/Nova/Spencer would be great except for the fact I’m not Combofiend. 
I suck with Spencer at anchor, and quite honestly don’t think he belongs in that spot. And I would have to play Skrull mixup heavy and try not to use meter.
I guess not really needing a specific order is a good problem to have, but I’d like some input. Thanks!

but im kinda lost on the assists. I know for Spencer the slant is just awesome thanks to novas overhead but what should i use for the other two?

I’m starting to like Gravimetric Pulse more and more as an assist for him. Even though Centurion Rush is good for extending combos in the corner and for the overhead of course, Gravimetric Pulse just completely fucks up the neutral game calculus. Things you’re likely to hear:
“WHY DOES THAT STAY OUT SO LONG?”
“DID I JUST BOUNCE ON IT 3 TIMES?”
“YOU CAN PUSH ME INTO THAT? THAT’S AWFUL”
Etc. etc.
No stream for that one, but I didn’t do as well as I thought. The next tourney I’ll be likely to be at is SCR.
Spencers great for sure. I currently trying him on point with Nova on Second. Also testing out anchors some more. I love Magnus, but he’s not cutting it for as of now.
