Nova w/ Spencer (Slant grapple) & a horizontal assist.
Novas pretty bad ass in all 3 spots. Depends on the function of your team.
Drones, arrows, arrows, plasma beam, unibeam, tatsu… horizontal is your friend.
Spencer gives you crazy damage on a hit
Strider covers the skies and let’s you use your self OTGs
Rolling buckler makes you unblockable
Jam session ccovers vertical space and gives you great combo extensions
Rapid slash is so so but gives you strong resets and puts a vergil on your team
i’ve been looking around for a char to compliment my Nova Skrull team…I am very interested in Taskmaster. I know sentinel can do wonders but im not sure if he is good enough for the team to be able to sacrifice his anchor capabilites (or lack thereof)
Try Doom with Plasma Beam. Anchor Skrull. Doom gives you unscaled from air throws and amazing TAC combos. Skrull is a decent anchor. Taskmaster can also work, but I think Doom would be a better fit.
Plus since nova can be counted on to corner carry, doom 2nd shines even more (tacs, dhc sphere flame, yadda)
I’m currently running nova frank skrull but would like to switch it up a bit and get rid of frank…how would a Wesker storm nova team work out?
Hello fellow Centurions, I’ve been trying to work Nova into a team and finally have a main team. Right now I’m using Vergil/Nova/Wesker and his assist is great for setting up unblockables but I find that if Vergil dies Nova is on his own and that sucks. I know one possibility is replacing Wesker with Task which I am going to try but that means 1. I have to learn real combos with Vergil and 2. I lose a great anchor and probably my best character. Any help?
Wesker provides absolutely nothing to Nova’s neutral game except for the ability to raw tag after airthrows for unscaled. I’d definitely recommend getting rid of Vergil, Nova, or Wesker and getting an assist that’ll benefit the other two. Taskmaster is pretty perfect if you like him. Taekua from Mexico plays that team and it’s pretty fucking cheap. Vergil/Taskmaster/Nova
Well. Nova/Frank/Skrull is a pretty decent team. DevilSephiroth from Cali plays it. Wesker/Storm/Nova sounds okay, but usually you want your anchor to provide a good assist for your team. Nova gives Wesker a good assist, but I’m not sure if he provides Storm with anything. If he’s good with her then go for it. Wesker/Storm is a pretty good shell in itself and Nova is a great anchor.
I’d respectfully disagree on that one. Skrull’s a good anchor but leveling options with Skrull in the back are limited, and more importantly Skrull does very little to help Nova or Frank’s neutral game. A team like that is pretty much relying on nova leveling Frank, or Skrull doing all the heavy lifting with x factor.
I absolutely agree with you. My Frank team has Frank at anchor position. Taskmaster/Dante/Frank. I have two chances of leveling Frank, since any hit with Taskmaster gives me lvl 5 Frank and any hit with Dante gives me lvl 5 Frank.That way once I get Frank in I have arrows and jam session. Still though, just having Nova/Frank makes your team decent I think. Not great, decent.
I’ve actually been messing around with Strider on my team as anchor. I’m still trying to work a 2nd in. I’ve been trying Trish w/ High Voltage and Dormmamu w/ Dark Hole. I thought about Thor too, but I’m sure he’s a no-go.

Methy: what marvelo said. Also, if you want to keep wesker maybe consider changing up the order, anchoring nova, and giving wesker the overhead assist. Its not the best, but its much better than the reverse, methinks.
Marvelo: this veers away from nova a bit, but how does a task hit level frank? I was under the impression the tac to install super to rawtag stuff didn’t work with tasks counter super. Is that how you’re doin it?

Anyone: man, surprisingly little response to my breakdown of nova felicia task. Ya’ll don’t need to gush over it if its good, but if its bad I need to know! Lol on paper and from limited online experience, it seems kind of incredible. Task is the most expendable part. Not the greatest anchor, but arrows are undeniably sick for both nova and felli, as is the upward arrow dhc.
Eveyone: holy shit is nemos gameplan brilliant (nova strange spencer). Too bad I hate spencer. Even if I didn’t, id hate to play yet ANOTHER nova spencer (says yet ANOTHER nova task player lol)
Yeah, Nemo is pretty godlike. I super into legion arrows, devil trigger, cold shower to wallbounce, skydance for the hard knockdown, and raw tag frank. call jam session + 2 pictures and I get lvl 5.
Sick!! I’ve been looking for a jam session task team, too. There it is! Only weakness to the team is no nova and no felicia. So obviously its unplayable. But ill have to give it a shot. You know, for a troll team 
Well after some research I’m gonna go with Nova/Frank/Vergil. Looks pretty damn easy to get a level 5 Frank and then I’ve got dark Vergil in the back. Anyone know some good players to watch that run this team?

I think Vergil Nova Frank is the better option. Nova assist resets the goundbounce so you can actually get like 3 lunar phases in a combo or something like that and STILL get to continue. Vergil gets Frank lvl 5 for free and Nova gets Frank to like level 3 for free and Frank assist helps Nova AND Vergil so go with that. Check out Justin Wong’s matches with his Frank Vergil team.
Survival Techniques isn’t a terrible DHC into swords since the first parts of it are close to the ground. An early DHC off of Blue Light Special is probably okay too, just make sure you do it before the wall bounce.
I suppose that could work too. Nova can get Frank to 5 btw, there’s a vid of it in the Frank forum. But I see your point, I’d have 2 chances to level him plus shopping cart for Vergil and Nova.
Maybe not the best thread to get into this but any combo into Nova Force, early DHC to whiffed Survival Techniques, call Nova, Snapshot gets you to level 4. The easiest way to go from here is SRK M and another snapshot to get you level 5. Assuming you haven’t used your wall bounce in the Nova combo you can QCF M, hold up and Knee Drop then take another shot for a bit more damage/meter and still get to level 5.
Another interesting ender to this is double QCF M (or single QCF M if you did use a wall bounce in Novas portion of the combo) into the inescapable FFC reset to kill any member of the cast susceptible to it. Killing Hulk off first touch while getting Frank to level 4 in the deal in this manner is pretty damn satisfying.
I just started running Nova (Centurion), Frank (Cart), Sentinel (Drones) and this team is extremely effective. I enjoy playing it a good deal and I love seeing what it can do.
