For pad players: Your gamepad of choice

I love the FC3, but they should’ve put L1 & R1 on the face and L2 & R2 on the right shoulder, there would’ve been fewer buttons, there are 10 buttons on that controller lol. That’s pretty much my only complaint.

wow they have all 6 facebuttons and the 4 shoulders too? thats kinda redundant

Anything is better than an Xbox 360 controller.

Yeah, it has R1 & R2 twice

Just curious, would you pay $500 (US) for a brand new Sega Saturn PS2 Pad? Am I crazy for being tempted?

You’re crazy. Don’t ever buy that.

yes… yes you are

edit: now im curious. you got a link?

DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet!!!

Also, the reason for the FC3 having the extra triggers is so you can switch up the position of the L1/L2 R1/R2 buttons, essentially being able to control all 8 buttons with one hand. very hand feature i imagine.

best pad on the market ??
Xbox 1 pad,then… Xbob 360.

If you guys have all small hands, well your lucky enough to use PS2 or PS3 controllers…
I hate the way Sony placed the analogue sticks… i get cramps all the time…
by the way anyone tried this pad : Speedlink Xeox Pro Analog Wireless Gamepad
**w.amazon.co.uk/Speedlink-Xeox-Analog-Wireless-Gamepad/dp/B007T8OM14/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pdT1_nS_nC?ie=UTF8&colid=2EZ9WQ08MQP5Q&coliid=I136JJLDYP0SSQ

I don’t use very often my PS3 due to this problem with Sony’s controllers… I’ still searching for a good solution (i.e. a copy of the Xbox controller for PS3…)

never seen that controller before. but im always hesitant to try ps3 wireless controllers that require a usb dealie for connection, as a lot of similar controllers have noticeable lag in input.

yeah… I know what you mean … too bad it’s not a bluetooth connection …

So I ended up buying an used Sega Saturn PS2 Pad, I usually don’t like buying pre-owned controllers, especially online, but I caved after all, I just hope that it functions properly, cause it wasn’t cheap.

saturn has a great pad. both mk 1 and mk2. it’s trash for Snk games though.

but, gotta hand it to the DS1 for having superior material and flexibility for any kind of fighting game. mine still work in perfect condition

i know this thread is 4 years old, but i do agree with OP’s claim on the n64 controller. it seems like it was made for fighters in mind with the 6 button layout, snes-esque dpad, and parallel positioning. too bad the n64 was a bitch to develop for.

Something is wrong with the PS1 controller I have, it’s the one without the analog sticks, my character jumps forward when I simply tap forward, the d-pad seems extremely sensitive.

Wow damn, for real? It still feels like yesterday when I posted this thread after joining SRK! Man, time sure as hell flies.

Also, I’m really glad someone besides me agrees about the N64 controller. I really do wish that system got more traditional fighters so its controller could prove its worth, but oh well. :frowning:

there werent even that many fighting games for N64 right? smash bros, MK(s), KI, fuckin Clay Fighter, and thats about it (at least the ones that i can name off me head)

i never really noticed the fighter type layout til i started playing International Superstar Soccer.

possibly your rubber contacts may have ripped. unscrew it, take it apart, see whats up. easy as 1 2 3. or you could just ebay or Lukiegamesanother one (strange im using nouns as verbs)

So I got a Sega Saturn USB pad today with the SLS sticker, the d-pad is awesome, I only paid $20 for it, bought it from a HK seller.

wheres the link to that $500 ps2 pad?

My bad, I forgot to post it, it’s actually $445 without shipping
