Do not PPP lariat against guile fireballs. Do not lariat sonic booms at all unless you are half a screen or more away, otherwise he will punish your lariat recovery. Do not fadc FORWARD through fireballs, you will eat a spinning backfist then lots of counter hit spinning backfists. You want to minimise the damage you take trying to get in by just walking forward and blocking. Don’t always walk forward straight after blocking a sonic boom every single time because guile will look for that spinning backfist as soon as you press forward. Jumping MK is your main tool for getting in. You need to be doing it close enough so that if you jump over a boom, the best guile can do is block.
Don’t always cross guile up when you have him cornered after knockdown - he has a slow reversal so you can safe jump him with knees, splash or whatever.
If you jump t him and he blocks, go straight for fierce SPD rather than jab then spd.
Resist the urge to jump at guile when he is holding down back, you are AlWAYS going to get flash kicked.

@ WorstGiefEVER thanks for the advice I haven’t really try to use J.MK I will give this a try, I have sometimes connected a Lariat after dodging a sonic boom but only because Guile will press forward HP Lariat beats that right away but I will safe that when I am sure of it. Thaks for the tip on cornered Guiles I always do crossups.
@ Aquasilk after that tournament I started using U2 it has whiff 2 times now > 1 Flash kick > 1 Ex up Ball but I continue to do my best.

vs abel, why are you jumping like it is super mario bros? you don’t need to jump. And when you do jump and are close to him you are not using knees or splash and your jumps are not ambiguous. Be more patient, you have 99 seconds, use them. You don’t need to finish the fight in 20 seconds.

I improved quite bit since then specially in blockstrings and u1 setups (also missing a few OS) that I really wasn´t using a lot. But still any advice is welcome , I´m really liking gief.
Towards the end of the first round, why are you walking backwards? You are gief. Walk forwards. Don’t do desperation green hands to try and win a match (I am guilty of this myself). Use ambiguous knees on Sakura after knockdown, she can’t do much about it.

I guess I craked since that was match point to advance to grand finals, I abused the jump because that Abel does not do c.MK as anti air, I have been practicing knees (Even though I don’t know wich side will land) more frequent now, I dont do cross up only now I will fight more patient now thanks :karate:

I dont know the level of the Sakura, but i do know that you can abuse c.lk XX EXGH - OS in that matchup like sakura didnt know what hit her. It beats all her pokes, and at worst trades. At the right space.
