I can’t beat Louffy at the moment. I find it very difficult against Rose because of her off the ground pokes and her instant ultra 2.
Yeah, makoto is stupid now, lol. Has nothing at all to do with Momochi’s play, Makoto just gave him a free win. It’s a good thing all her special moves are safe against Gief, oh wait, they aren’t. Every special on block is free SPD or U1 and her wakeup is ass. Sad.
edit: Didn’t get to watch vids before, thanks for posting WorstGiefEVER. Louffy’s Rose is hella lame (in an effective way lol), her s.hk makes me wince. My entire Rose U2 strategy is to fake pressure the second they get it and then just run away and look for EXGH openings ( a lot of Rose’s who aren’t Louffy seem to get a bit overconfident with the Orbs out). Sucks because she is almost guaranteed 2 per round and all momentum just dies. Nice matches.
Those orbs don’t know if this has been mentioned before (if it has sorry) but against a Rose player I spar with often I used double knee right when he activated U2 on wake up and I was deep enough that it hit her head and made the orbs vanish I’ve done it twice of course the risk is incredible but just throwing it out there.
I have started playing around with an early knee whiff on Rose’s wakeup as soon as she has U2 stocked and doing EXSPD after the freeze.
I am addicted to EXSPD.
Does it work all the time or does it fail sometimes?
Depends on the Rose player’s read, they can just hold up during freeze or buffer backdash to avoid it, or even mash throw to grab before EXSPD is active i believe. But a lot of Rose players are simply expecting the other person to block so EXSPD can utilize Inv against orbs to surprise them. Also, hovering outside of orb range and using lp.spd can work, but again; it is a risk. Nothing is ever really guaranteed for the big guy.
Rose should always be mashing backdash after activating orbs vs Zangief.
Yeah, that makes absolute sense. She is airborne and her backdash is half screen, lol. There is only the slight hope that they are waiting to visually confirm if the orbs hit (or if they think the orbs hit).
edit: just watched again and Louffy has some incredible reads in those fights. Must have been frustrating.

This guy beat everyone in our group! I expect to beat Blankas most of the time. I think I was too cautious in this match (which happens to me a lot).

Missed an opportunity to ultra in round 1 when he did that backheel thing vegas do to try to tick throw afterwards. I use fierce attacks far too often in air-to-air combat; they are too slow to come out, I should be using light attacks.
My fight vs Yagami (Dhalsim) was on the live stream so I don’t have a recording of that one. He blew me up as usual. I did do better than I did against him at Beat By Contest, however. I noticed he basically pokes the shit out of you as soon as you press forward, so from crouching block I would go to standing block to bait his poke, then advance a bit. It helped, but I still got raped.

Still having a lot of trouble against him. I think I pressed too many buttons in this match. After seeing that GDLK video of Mago vs Itabashi above, I have instantly become a lot better and more patient so hopefully it won’t be such a one-sided drubbing next time.
