… did another video … man, i need some help with editing lol

Here’s me playing badly, but landing a pretty epic TKU2. Video skips to the beginning of a comeback.
I played badly the second and third rounds and ultimately lost, but there’s an epic Siberian Blizzard in the first round. This was a round of casuals and I had not long been using Ultra 2, so I was experimenting rather than focusing on winning (still, I did some dumb things not related to trying to land the ultra). Insert Guile’s Theme at :56.
Use AVS4YOU for video editing, the software is gdlk.
I had a match with Ryan hart yesterday on my stream, I will put it up for review later. I feel I am still lacking in the ryu matchup.
i use pinnacle studio, i’m still figuring things out now but is that really better than pinnacle studio?
I don’t know anything about the software you use, but all my videos (where edited) are made with AVS4YOU, the software is brilliant.

I find struggle a lot vs Ryu. Also I still don’t know what ultra I prefer in this matchup. For me, ultra 2 serves only as a deterrent to anti air shoryukens (which helps the matchup in general).
The EX GH at the end of game 2 round 1 was an accident, the chair I was in made it awkward to play.
How do you guys go about getting replays?
Tournament recordings? Capture Cards? Some other avenue?
I picked up SSF4 two weeks ago and was trying to figure out the best way for someone to get a look at my Zangief.
I’m having trouble against Guy, Fei, and Guile (for whatever reason). Fireballs characters, not so much.
If you dont have a capture card, use a video camera. Just make sure you can keep it still. There is a battle log of your previous I don’t know how many matches.
Alright, I’ll see if I can get one up in a bit since I don’t have a capture card. >_> I’ll juss use a saved replay or something like you said.
Edit: Minus using Youtube’s shitty audioswap library, and the lack of quality since I just blatantly video cam’d it, this is mah Zangief video. >_> Be gentle, I’ve only juss started playing recently (2wks or something? 3 maybe?)

This cant be your first FG! You are very patient, and seem to be smart. But i can clearly see that you are new to the game, and its mechanics.
Just a few things i can think of on the fly.
j.hk is an awefull air to ground move.
j.mk should be used if jumping(mark IF)
j.hp works aswell, they are great at different ranges.
d + HP is splash(great crossing tool), i saw you using j.hp when you crossed someone.
You can punish Ryu’s u1 even fullscreen.
You should learn a combo to complete after hitting c.lp
Hm…I play Super Smash Bros Brawl competitively…>_> and that’s a super campy game.
Right now I juss practice making sure I can greenhand when I need to, and I try buffering 360s everywhere lawl. i’ll work on some of the combos and more heavy stuff after I get the basics down.
Hey guys I play street fighter 4 for fun and competitively and I travel to monthly tournaments. My Main is Zangief and only Gief and I compete locally in Tampa and Orlando scene. Been to FR 13-14, EVO 2010. I’m finally starting to get my fundamentals and execution down and I feel SRK LIVE/PeacefulJay stream have greatly improved my matchup experince, of course nothing is better then local casuals and major tourneys. If you have any questions I would be glad to answer.

I got some Gief vids in this playlist
ok comrades… does this shit just happens to me or what, can someone explain.
DjEric DarkSide - short answer - you did them too fast.
Long answer: vs. Hakan, he was still in hit stun, and you can’t grab someone if they are still in hit stun.
vs. Dhalsim, everyone has like 2 frames of throw invulnerability after they block or wakeup.
hakan maybe. But from what i remembet i hit dhalsim with c.mk wich is -2 on hit.
I have a crazy theory but let me see what you think first.
Right, so sim was still throw invulnerable when you did ultra. Just off by a frame. You can simulate that in training mode, just set the computer to all guard and do c.mk, ultra - it’s like a 1-frame “link” so you’ll land the ultra more often than not, but if you do it enough times with the right timing, sometimes you’ll miss it.
You counterhit sim with cr.mk, giving additional hit stun, making you +1. With 2 frames additional throw invulnerability after hitstun, U1 will whiff.
Frame timeline:
0 - You recover from CH cr.mk, you start U1, first active frame of ultra whiffs
1 - Sim recovers, but has his first throw invulnerable frame. Second active frame of U1 whiffs.
2 - You are in recovery frames. Sim is in his second throw invulnerable frame. Maybe he presses throw here. Doesn’t matter.
3+ - Sim throws you.
thank you m16ghost. Now that you pointed out it was a counter hit, it makes sense.
so how many throw invulnerable frames every character have after any block or hit normal?
cause now im wondering how the hell does tick trows work then.
2 frames after leaving block/hitstun, wakeup, reset. Essentially after any time the opponent’s reversal would gain armor break properties.
If you ever tried to tick throw someone after a move where you were +2, you sometimes whiff because you were frame perfect with your throw. That’s actually how it was noticed in the first place. Same thing happens if you try to tick spd after +1, or ultra after +0.
