Regarding the meshball color, your color choice might work well when you have the entire stick design into consideration. The hori has black, red and white as primary colors. Black mesh might look good if that is the extent you intend to change things. But if you intend to do more, you may find the buttons are better swapped as black plunger with white rims and white mesh, or vice versa. The button plugs are black, so perhaps all black with white balltop to complement the white sides.
There’s probably several things you can do to personalize it. Are there printing/art templates for Hori VLXs?

On another note, I finished an LED stick mod with PS360 PCB in a Mad Catz SE. Home and Turbo still work on the corner panel and I wired up the USB to the PS360 using the SE’s stock USB cable and the wire harness that came with the PS360:

User syn13 made a photoshop template, but I like the stock, red, metallic, mirror finish. I won’t change around the VLX too much since I like it the way it is, but I’ll have to think about what color meshball top I want.
After some difficulty as buying as a guest, Jman made things right. Now I got to order a seimitsu ls32 to put in my stick. Kinda gettin down to the wire for a stick. Got some local matches I can’t pass up. Thanks Jman for fixing the order problem.

Very cool - the VLX design is indeed sharp. I bet it will be the least modified stick out there given they designed it to look pretty boss from the start.

I have a letter in my hand from Royal Mail informing me that I need to pay a further £14.95 customs charge before I can have my PS360 PCB. This isn’t a attack @ jmanDMC (excuse the pun) but if you live on this ridiculous little island, chances are your going to have the same bullshit charge.
I think its why I have waited such a long time for it, what the fk did they think it was? Anyone would think it was ticking in the box and I’m paying a charge for a Bm disposal teams investigation (I like to exaggerate)… I’ll cough and collect resentfully in the morning.
Sadly I’ll be looking else were for my next stick that’s in the build.
