First wave of third party Xbox One padhack options

I never found a solution to it when I had a problem with my PS360+ outside of sending it back to Paradise Arcade when it wouldn’t auto detect in my Crossbone setup, but worked totally fine on its own.

I had the same issue with no answer. What I did was just hack a new pad sadly. Because no matter what I did with the hori pad the triggers would always be active. Always. I think the hori pad although is common ground. Perhaps might not be able to use for dual mods? I can’t confirm this but what I can confirm is that I couldn’t get it to work

Did you ever check with a multimeter, with the stick unplugged, if the triggers were shorted to ground?

Adding diodes to the shoulder signals on my xb1 padhack solved the issue of them being always on
Read this and below

I’ll need to retest the horipad if others are having issues. I don’t recall having any issues with the triggers when I used it in a dual mod. Pretty sure the stick owners wold of said something.

I did indeed test out the pad with a multimeter. No shorts of any sort. It was weird the issue was this.

No buttons would be active when I had it in Xbox one mode(no shorts) but when I would switch over to 360 mode then that’s when the rt on the 360 PCB would be active so to me that is weird lol. I was using a Barrier strip so I could easily see my wiring job and see if I made a mistake with the multimeter. It was an interesting issue. I couldn’t find a definite answer so I just used a rock candy PCB again and was good.

Out of frustration I didn’t really expand on my options. I’m sure attaching a diode would have worked as well but I’m not sure as I didn’t even give it a shot as I had a time frame for the arcade stick.

Another interesting issue was that right would get stuck as well on the stick. And again I did a check to see if it was my error and nothing was shorted out and no other connections were touching

Would this be recommended if dual modding an xb1 mini controller into a madcatz TE1?
I just finished a single stick mod, swapped out the 360 pad in the barrier strips for the mini and after some trigger hijinx it is working smoothly.
I just ordered another Mini so I plan to leave the pots on that one for the 6 button stick and then do the hex inversion on that one and put into the TE1.
I know I have some diodes, 1N4148, laying around when I modded my 360.

I have the same issue, I dual modded with FC4, with dpdt switch, and when I’m on FC, triggers are always on.

Until I can get another horipad to retest, putting a diode on the triggers should fix things (anode on the horipad trigger signal).

I have one now. I’m gonna try to use a dpdt switch and put the HoriPad in a Q4. I’ll diode the triggers.

It works, I take the first pair of diode I found, on a broken power supply of printer.

Now my Q4 is PS3/PS4/X360/XOne/PC compatible.

I connect FC4 and Q4 pcb on a dpdt switch then this dpdt switch and HoriPad on another dpdt. Not sure it’s the simplest way, but it work well.

0 + 0 = Q4 PCB
1 + 0 = FC4 PCB
1 + 1 or 0 + 1 = Horipad PCB

Thanks for advice on diode.

Can we see that wiring?

Hey @Gummo , how much of left side of the MKX pcb can be dremeled off? It looks like there aren’t any traces by where the D-pad goes.

I think you can cut away til the left shoulder button.

Noticed a new xb1 pad by powera. It’s a star
wars controller. Same as the others, common ground and triggers need inverting.

First of all, it’s my first padhack attempt, I’m very bad with soldering.

Here is some pictures:

I made some scheme to help you:

Man I just threw out some diodes I pulled from a manual Bandridge Scart switch.
I should of saved them.

For a first time, you set the bar high. NICE WORK!!!

@liquidsnake4ch
Nice Work!

And thanks for the info everyone about the diodes. Searching through the forum it seems the 1N4148 diode should work for the pad correct?
Is this digikey link is the same one? http://www.digikey.com/product-detail/en/0/568-1360-1-ND

thanks again peeps

Any advice on dual modding the xb1 mini to ps360 pcb? I want to work on it this week so I can adapt to mkx on stick. I can drop by radio shack to get inverters and diodes and probably a new tip for my iron. I should be able to connect the grounds to the ps360 correct?
