pad players are out of luck until a good converter comes out. Sadly that XCM one doesnāt lag on analog controls but drops inputs like a bitch.

Iām soooo confused. There were ps3 and 360 setups at the tourney. I played all my SF4 matches on the ps3 so I could use my stick which needed a ps2 -> ps3 converter. I would ask my opponents if we could play on the ps3 so I could use my stick and most of them borrowed sticks from other people so they could play on ps3. I mean I could see there being a problem if there were no ps3ās and you wanted to use ps3 pad, but there were actually people that brought ps3ās so I think it was a non-issue.

if its announced for 360 and enough of you want it on PS3, fucking man up and roll up in there with a bunch of PS3s. Most stick players arnt going to care either way which system they play on as long as they can use someones stick. For you pad only players who can only play on one specific type of pad, if you make sure that there are both consoles avaliable to use, then you can simply guarentee that you will have the option of playing on either. If you are so concerned about there not being enough TVs to fit both kinds, bring a TV too. Its not that much extra work to bring a TV and a console honestly. Its not like anyone is taking the train or the bus to nickels. Put that shit in your car.
Also, might I suggest for the pad players to simply start playing on an official fight pad? I meanā¦ they are they same for both systems. If you can play on one of those its the same on both, and you can still use a pad, so I dont see why people have to do so much bitching and boycotting of tournaments. its fucking rediculous.
For the longest time, we had GG bi weeklys on an american style cab with american sticks. I have always played on a Japanese stick. Guess whatā¦ I still showed up anyway and manned up and played that shit on an american stick and I always would fucking get top 2 anyway regardless. Stop being bitches and go fucking play
the fight pads are pretty good but for st can be important to piano and itās very hard on a fight pad compared to a ps pad. Also I think just about every pad player prefers ps3, except for maybe just ownin and there were a lot of pad players there
I was wondering if complete results for the other tournaments are ever going to be posted. Iām curious to know how poorly I ranked in GG.

When we went from Arcade to Console in tourneys, console players told me to man up and ADJUST. Now when people try and stray away from the PS3 to Xbox 360, they wonāt do it, itās the same complaints.
Bottom line, 360 is a better system to run the tournaments on. Everyone that plays the game online plays it on that system. Not as many ātop levelā players play it on PS3 for either HDR or SF4. I have both. I play on both systems, but the comp is on 360. No question. The interface and online for PS3 is ass, and the online for HDR PS3 is horrible.
Everyone loves their āpreciousā PS2/PS3 converters/ pad. They love the default dual shock pad. They will not stray from it. These are the same people that told ME to adjust to freaking console so they can play on this PS pad, but they refuse to use stick, or play on any other system.
THAT is why EVO and all these other tourneys are on PS3 and not 360. Everyone has sticks/converters. Itās hilarious how hypocritical everyone can be after this whole fiasco started years ago, and now has carried over to PS3 vs XBOX 360.
You know whatās even funnier? Same bitching about a FREE GAMESTOP tournament. Their rules. Free tournament. People whine about not being able to use their console sticks and stuff for GameStop, but if whine about not being able to play on stable arcade unit, they say āitās not the same thingā, now everyone sees where I am coming from?
I had to play on the garbage 360 pad for 3 rounds of this GameStop tournament, and so did Ari, but we did what we had to do about it. Couldnāt use the stick or 6 button pad, the end. Did what we had to do. Actually made it harder for us because people could get rounds, but they donāt understand if WE had OUR sticks, that would trump everyone else having their own equipment, but people donāt see it that way.
This precious PS2 pad wonāt last forever. People need to learn on alternate equipment. I get people coming into my arcade that can only play on freaking USB random gamepad from companies I have never heard of, but you need to adjust like the arcade people had to, or just not play.
PS3 = EVO for now, and it makes āmostā people happy, but the majority DOES play on 360, and if the majority plays on Xbox 360, itās going to eventually change one day, so itās better to be prepared sooner than later and not complain about how X person can not play on X system because of X pad they need to play.
