Mr Man, good stuff in SF4 and HDR. Keep practicing. I think Bison is very good in both games. You can play Bison very annoying in HDR if you want to. Just use the slevin tactic… MEATY EVERYTHING. Actually 9th at such a big tournament with decent comp in SF4 is pretty impressive. Keep it up.

Ari, nice tournament. Thanks for running it. Just as a suggestion for next time, try to get more people to run the other games. I think Andy, Keits, and Humbag did a great job running the brackets for their games. So if you plan on running HDR in the future, I’d be more than happy to run it. Unfortunately I may not be at the next one because there is a tournament in Racine on the same day, and the one after that coincides with DBQ BBQ. Anyway, good stuff in the tournaments.
I really enjoyed playing you. I was not completely ready for you to play Ryu in this tournament, so I had to blow the first set and grand relearning without giving too much away. Too bad I just couldn’t get it together in the 2nd set. Also good shit in SF4, you are obviously well above everyone else in the area, even the very good players. Just remember that there are people who want to learn the game at a high level in Chicago. So it would be great if you made time, or invited people to hang out and play with you guys outside of a tournament setting some time, especially considering there wasn’t much time for casuals… well really wasn’t any time.
Anyway that’s it. I’m really sorry if I’m forgetting anyone. BTW I’m changing my sig back to what it was. Except I won 2 tournaments since then. I worked really hard to get to where I am in the game and I think I earned it. If anyone has a serious problem with it then just PM me instead of fucking up this thread or the chicago thread. I think only 2 to 3 people left the 3s bracket too, I was real suprised by that so thanks to everyone who actually stayed around for it considering it slowed to a crawl later in the night.

Maybe having the smaller games rotate would be good? (while having big ones like SF4 and STHD locked in there at every bi-weekly for sure)
Also, I think it would be a good idea to have a hour break around 6 or 7 p.m. to let people get food. People left Nickel City at random times during the tourney anyway, so I think it would be better to just set aside time where people can do whatever, instead of having to go through frustrations of dealing with players missing when their games are up. That should be implemented with clear understanding that players will get disqualified if they don’t come back from the break on time to play in their next matches.
Riot.exe basically ran TvC with very little help from me. I was very busy doing decently in three of the four games running simultaniously, so big thanks to him. Also, hilarious commentary from him as usual.
Dan - very impressive cammy play. you changed my mind on your abilities in that game. YYou are just very lucky you didnt have to play me in the bracket, as you have almost zero tournament wins over me in any game. wa ha!

Floe - 1 dollar tournament are godlike. They served their purpose for sure. Its a hell of a dive to do this very often, so I probably wont make too many of these, but its great that you are putting them on. Hope you enjoy the oversized window cling.

Random1234 - Vast improvement in TvC. Very impressed. You are a smart player, with more experience you will be a force in any game you play.
EmptyShiki - You are damn good at TvC. You dropped like 80% of your combos and still took 2nd without much of a sweat. Keep it up, not enough of us play the game.
All the up-and-coming players - Keep at it. Some of you show some good stuff already. A few of you just complained the whole time about everything, and you probably arent cut out for tournament play. Yes, waiting a LONG time between your matches is normal. This isnt fun-times at your house. This is 70 people trying to compete in an organized event. Perhaps spend some of that downtime watching other matches, trying to learn from them, or discussing your matches with other players.
Denny’s Waitress - You were fucking terrible. You didnt even bring Capps what he ordered. I ate half my goddamn meal before i got my goddamn milkshake.

I’m so s ad for missing the tourny. But on 95th street right in front of aarons rental center their is this pothole and it fucked up my tire. If it hadn’t I would have definitely been there. Good shit to DJYOJIMBO aka GLB for placing hard in all the tournies. That man is a beast. Floe must be some sort of monster king to be able to take that man out.

GLB your ryu has really taught me the importance of learning safejumping in sf4. Land a throw or sweep and it’s free mixup alllllllllllllll day and if it’s blocked u can go for another throw and start that shit all over again. I kind of wish backdashes had a bit more invincibility than 8 frames but I guess that would make it more gg and less sf. I dunno safejumps just seem like the timing is easier than turbo and the benefit gained is nothing short of miraculous

Honestly it’s not that they “fell off”. I’m sure Prucha knew about the tournament but maybe he just didn’t decide to go… unless he stopped reading SRK for whatever reason. Kevin is a teacher now so you know how that goes… grading papers and making lesson plans and such. I haven’t seen Jesse in a while but I’m sure he’s busy with other things. I myself was a “game time decision” to go… I wasn’t gonna go at first but decided to go at the very last minute. 
I did call Prucha though DURING the tournament and told him how HUGE this tournament was and how he needed to come to the next one.
It’s not like the tournament was lacking competition for GG, though. Those new UIC kids are really talented… they have a high ceiling for improvement. I see mad potential the same way I did with all the South Siders before. And in fact, 2 of them already destroy me for free in casual games! They just lack the necessary experience for tournament composure and poise, I guess… they still get the nervousness and jitters. But that goes away in time.
I am totally not happy with the way I played in this tournament, by the way, haha. My match with Eric during the semis was a pretty close one, and even closer against Aric. Me and Aric are still pretty even, though some people were saying that I had GOOD control of my matches for the majority of the time… up until I got hit once and there goes more than half of my life bar…yay Slayer! I really, really wish I had beaten Aric now… because if I did, my next opponent would’ve been Jerry (Nives)… and uh… I don’t lose to Sol anymore, period, haha. Ky vs. Sol is FREE for me. Then I would’ve had another opportunity to take Eric down in the Grand Finals.
Lots of could’ve would’ve should’ves, but I suck. I’m retired, and not kicking people’s asses.
