haha, thanks! Yeah, he did get too cute in the alpha series but if you think of it chronologically, he gets more beastly as time goes on. So lets say this one is set after the SFII timeline.

Sorry for the long wait. Anyway, here’s Makoto! This is what my drawings look like before I clean them up in photoshop. I’ll try working on her colors tonight and maybe post her up again later. And I will be finishing up her feet and everything as well.

One suggestion though. It wouldn’t hurt to vary your line weights. It will make your drawings stand out on their own, even without color.

Thanks for the suggestion. I should really try to adapt that more because it has been suggested to me before. It’s not easy for me because I can’t really see which lines would benifit from being thicker and the tools I use require me to go over the same line several times to get the right thickness.
Thanks alot for all the complaments guys, I’ll keep trying to post more SF stuff and I’ll probably be opening up to suggestions in the near future. Now I’ve got the finished Makoto lines ready to post up. I was starting to wonder if I should redraw my lineart 3 times like I’ve been doing (redlines, pencil lines and digital lines/inking) but seeing as how much stuff I’ve changed in her drawing, I think I will continue with it. I hope you enjoy it!

really really diggin the way you handled the clothes on this one. i also really like the scarf. but i don’t find it fits in with the rest of the pic. esp around her neck. same with the hair, but not as much as the scarf. lol actually the hair kinda reminds me of the style of the kof neowave art. other than that. good job overall.
edit: the neowave comments just an aside. nothin wrong with that =p

Yeah, I think I might update the picture a little more with some more defined lines around the edges of the neck scarf. Something wasn’t feeling right about that area to me either.
haha, I’m glad you liked the hair. I’m working on new ways to color and one of them is by locking the transparent pixels on the layers. It’s kind of like using the lasso tool or something to highlight and color on only a certain area, but you don’t get those jagged pixelated edges when you color one side too many times. Not to mention I’m practicing with several different kinds of brushes as well. I just found a tab that changes the properties of brushes.
XD hahaha, yeah it does now that you mention it. I was trying for stylized texture but it might not have come out as good as I’ve hoped. Oh well, I’ll try again.
Alright guys, I’m open to suggestions of who I should draw next. I’ll do a OC sketch and if I really like it, I might just pull it through the color blender. What/who do you guys wanna see?

Hello again everyone! Yes yes, not much from me, yet again. But thats because I didn’t really have access to a scanner, nor has my home computer been working for awhile. But now that I do have access to a scanner, I can at least show you some traditional stuff I’ve been doing. This is a really nice drawing of C. Viper IMO. I’m really my own biggest fan, haha. I’ll try to do more at some point but for right now, this is it~

The whole thing is a pain in the butt to me because I’m never really sure what hue or saturation of a color to use. I guess it can come down to a style of what is preferred? Idk.
