i’ve been trying to patch that one ,but it never comes out right
I’m going to look for the patches after I beat Shadow Dragon. I managed to get the Gamecube Fire Emblem working on my PC not to long ago just cus. The earlier versions are good, I heard Thracia (I believe) is the hardest one. :3
I think the problem with Thracia is that you had to pretty much play every chp “the correct way” and there’s like too many inputs or factors that fuck you over. It is
designed to make the player suffer as much as possible and your units are literally like a step away from being killed. The RNG in Thracia is the most bullshit system mechanic out of them all.
In short: heal staffs miss, reinforcements appear and outnumber you, and etc.
Two days or so to go. I’m running out of uses on the Demo…
So I just realized how safe arenas are going to be in awakening on bitch mode. I have been replayin Fe7 And have been doing nicely in the arena and makin my character bosses but there is that risk everytime. If arenas are in awakening and you are playing on bitch mode it will be easy to level and make money without risk.
You’re probably right, but I wonder if the devs knew this and maybe changed the arena in casual mode, like make it more expensive to enter or something, or get less money for winning. Or maybe they did nothing, because the whole point of casual mode is for players to just advance through the story without worrying about their units too much.
I am hoping the devs did something about it but I doubt it because of the direction towards casual play that games have taken rather than hardcore.
I honestly don’t have a problem with it but what worries me is if they put more effort into casual than they do the normal game.
I don’t think there’s anything to worry about. Casual mode merely removes permadeath, so it doesn’t take much work to do something like that.
Having played the game a week (haven’t beaten it yet because I have spammed a bunch of Paralogue/sidequest and random Risen battles to develop newer characters) I don’t think it is strange that so many people are calling this the best of the series. Even ignoring the Spotpass/DLC that gives you the chance to play as series classic characters, the normal gameplay especially with ‘pair up’ is stellar.
Also don’t think it is a spoiler to mention some of the characters will meet their kids in this game, but I got Sully’s kid Kjelle to be Godzilla in this game. She starts as a knight but due to having her father character having Ignis skill, she was torching folk in every other encounter. Eventually got her to lvl 20 in a few battles and made her a great knight. I just had use Second Scroll on her yesterday because she hit level 20 again and I only used her in like two normal missions. Girl was getting criticals, Lunas and Ignis every other attack and outside of special class hurting weapons physically only taking 2-5 damage from most characters including bosses. Game is great.
I don’t have awakening yet, and it has been killing me.
Can someone tell me if Grandmaster is as OP as I feel it can be?
Spoiler
Also I’m not too keen on the newest character Running up on Mutherfucking Ike like he was a standard bum I dunno connecting the whole universe and stuff kinda gets unsettling when this nobody just rushes up on people that have slain Gods and dragons and shit like they’re scrubs.

<br>Eh, don’t know yet. The real benefit seems to be the ability to take on any class and get their skills. By itself, I just used him as a additional magic battery but have pretty much left him out of more then a few missions when I could because once you get some of children characters they sort of supplant then first generation rather easily once you get them into the promoted classes if only due to their combination of skills and potential damage output… <br>
<font face=“Arial, Verdana” size=“2”><span style=“line-height: normal;”>Ok, I’m sure by now all the diehard FE fans have Awakening. I’ve been playing for about a month now and I want to give my first thoughts:</span></font><div style=“font-family: Arial, Verdana; font-size: 10pt; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; line-height: normal;”><br></div><div><font face=“Arial, Verdana” size=“2”><span style=“line-height: normal;”>Firstly, I can say for sure that this game ranks right up there with the best FE’s to date. There’s much customization, skills routes, and character supports that absolutely break the game wide open (even on Lunatic). The game itself isn’t very hard, but the difficulty is noticeable on Lunatic or depending on whether or not you are farming EXP/GOLD. Speaking of that, the DLC’s are a hit or miss. The EXP/GOLD ones are absolutely worth the investment if you want to build your characters quick and don’t ever have to worry about money. These maps can be played over and over again so farming them is a good idea, and after an hour or so you should have a powerful army with a shitload of gold. The character ones are not so shabby, because you can’t support those units. They don’t play an integral role in the story plot, other than just being available for deployment. I found the Marth “DLC” pretty good because Marth gets the 20% stat boost skill, so every level up is going to make him a badass and you don’t have to worry about getting RNG screwed because of his growth rates. Roy gets Aegis, which is an extremely useful skill but I still prefer Marth over Roy. PEMN anyway.</span></font></div><div><font face=“Arial, Verdana” size=“2”><span style=“line-height: normal;”><br></span></font></div><div><font face=“Arial, Verdana” size=“2”><span style=“line-height: normal;”>Most of the characters in the game are good. Unlike Shadow Dragon where most of the units sucked ass, this one brings a lot of diversity to the table. Hardcore players are experimenting supports to get beefed up “kid” versions of characters with the skills still intact. Others are playing around with second seals or “Class Swaps” so they can enter another class trait and learn their skills. For example, people have been experimenting with Chrom and most of the agreement around the internet say to reclass him into a paladin so that he can get Aegis to fix his low resistance. If he goes great knight he gets Luna, which helps his defenses but isn’t really needed. </span></font></div><div><font face=“Arial, Verdana” size=“2”><span style=“line-height: normal;”><br></span></font></div><div><font face=“Arial, Verdana” size=“2”><span style=“line-height: normal;”>I reclassed Cordelia into a Hero, and she rocks. She’s not better than Hero>Donnel though, both get the skill that weapons never break based on luck. This is huge for Donnel because his luck stat is through the roof. I made Sumia into a Dark Flier, since she also gets good magic traits. </span></font></div><div><font face=“Arial, Verdana” size=“2”><span style=“line-height: normal;”><br></span></font></div><div><font face=“Arial, Verdana” size=“2”><span style=“line-height: normal;”>It’s too early for a tier list, but this game is nuts and it’s only been a couple of weeks lol. </span></font></div>
Nintendo just put up a vid detailing some of their DLC for FE<br>https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8kTawTYxWlc<br>
So, how’s Awakening? I heard some say it’s pretty must the best one of the entire series so far.<br><br>But being a broke-ass scumbag I don’t even have a 3DS yet so I’m stuck replaying Shadow Dragon and Sacred Stones on my DS Lite. <br>

<br>Being a broke ass person myself, I can say if you are Fire Emblem or SRPG fan, the game is worth the purchase when you get the cash. Best in the series and a awesome experience. <br>
I haven’t put the game down since I got it. That says a lot lol.
So, how are people’s armies looking? I want to get into a discussion about endgame stuff, customs, and all that crap hahaha. I restarted my game because the perfectionist in me wanted a powerful endgame army that was virtually unstoppable at all angles. Also, I wanted to move the game over to lunatic for the challenge and classic mode. Breeding in this game is important because it is the skills that truly reaches the endgame formula. I will go over some of the ones I think are game breaking:
Galeforce - Over 50% of my army has this skill. Some people say it’s overrated, but I beg to differ. If you are grinding a lot, this could very well be a must-have skill. Extra movement is very helpful at the cost of killing stuff, and with forged weapons there’s no reason anybody shouldn’t be killing stuff. In truth, I restarted my game JUST for this skill lol.
Aether - Sol plus Luna divided off your skill stat. Good with Rightful King.
Armsthrift - Attack without expending weapon cost x your luck stat. Forged weapons never breaking? Yes plz.
Aegis/Pavise/Luna - Excellent tankish abilities. My Cynthia is a beast with Pavise.
***Aptitude *** - Boost stat odds of increasing by 20%. No getting RNG screwed, wish it wasn’t strapped to Donnel.
Rightful King - Boost skill activating by 10%, good pick.
Shadowgift - Access to dark magic with any mage tree. Good for spamming Nosferatu, since weapon weight isn’t in the game.
Well, there’s probably a few more but not gonna list them all. Here’s a look at the core of my army:
Lucina
RATING: 234
SKILLS: Galeforce, Dual Strike+, Armsthrift, Patience, Aether
CURRENT CLASS: Great Lord
Overall: Top unit. Has all the things to truly make her deadly, and Great Lord has decent caps. Better than Chrom by far.
**Severa **
RATING: 234
SKILLS: Galeforce, Armsthrift, Patience, Pass, Relief
CURRENT CLASS: Hero
Overall: Deadly. Not better than Lucina, but still gets the job done. Hero has amazing caps and pass+galeforce is lol. Relief is nice to have also
**Cynthia **
RATING: 243
SKILLS: Galeforce, Pavise, Speed, Movement+, Relief
CURRENT CLASS: Knight
Overall: The core of my team. Tanky, will never die, movement to help knights crappy move, galeforce. Un-stop-ab-le.
Kjelle
RATING: 243
SKILLS: Galeforce/Relief/Aptitude/Aegis/Defense
CURRENT CLASS: Falc Knight
Overall: Mandatory flyer who can heal and fight. Aegis halves bows, and Aptitude turns her into a monster every level up.
Morgan
RATING: 193?
SKILLS: Rightful King, Galeforce, don’t remember the others
CURRENT CLASS: Tactician
Overall: He’s gonna be a beast. A guy with galeforce? Game-breaking. I still need to grind him though.
Prince Marth
RATING: 243
SKILLS: Aptitude, Charm, Defender, Aegis
CURRENT CLASS: Paladin
Overall: He has is downsides, and I’m not finished with him yet. But, can reclass into anything and has very high stat gains. Keeper.
Chrom
RATING: 196
SKILLS: Rightful King, All Stats +2, Dual Strike+, Aether, Charm
CURRENT CLASS: Paladin
Overall: He has to be deployed some chps. Might as well use him, not better than Lucina but still effective. Like Marth, I will be replacing Charm with something in the future.
Female Avatar
RATING: 229
SKILLS: Galeforce, Rally Spectrum, Veteran, Ingnis, Solidarity
CURRENT CLASS: Grandmaster
Overall: Awesome. She’s my mage, I plan on turning her into a shadowgift spammer for Nosferatu.
Let me know what you guys think! I am missing some guys I want to add, but I need their paralogues.
I’m having the weirdest FE binge right now. I decided to clear all of my save data for Shadow Dragon and start fresh, but with some goals:
:get to all the side chapters
:get all of my units’ levels capped
:create a decent team for Multiplayer Battles (lol multiplayer in fire emblem)
Also I’m gonna just import Heroes of Light and Shadow since apparently Nintendo has no interest in localizing it and there’s already an fan English translation patch for it
Also, I must be one of the few out there that actually enjoy the DS Akaneia games
Smash Brethren 1 DLC is out! Give us Limit Breaker Nintendo! 2 and 3rd maps aren’t public yet, but I just want the skill that protects my fliers from bonus dmg.
UPDATE ON MY ARMY:
Morgan
RATING: 309
CURRENT CLASS: Sorcerer
SKILLS: Rightful King, Galeforce, Vengence, Tomefaire, All Stats+2
Overall: Best unit on my team now. Spams forged Nosferatu, practically unstoppable. Only spammy counter warriors and the DLC boss can kill him.
Robin
RATING: 274
CURRENT CLASS: Dark Flier
SKILLS: Solidarity, Galeforce, Rally Spectrum, All Stats+2, Ignis
Overall: Default avatar. Still needs some tweaking in skills (skills that protects fliers), but, Rally Spectrum and Ignis are too good to pass by.
Lucina
RATING: 271
CURRENT CLASS: Great Lord
SKILLS: Aether, Galeforce, Armsthrift, Rightful King, Astra
Overall: Astra to replace relief, strikes up to 4x times. Rightful King to boost projected skills to activate, very decent unit. Still better than Chrom, but not so much now.
Cynthia
RATING: 281
CURRENT CLASS: General
SKILLS: Galeforce, Movement+, Astra, Pavise, All Stats+2
Overall: Once was the core unit on my squad, but has taken a back seat to Morgan. I am thinking of reclassing her into a swordsmaster because I’m working on Kellam/Nowi’s kid to be a more effective tank. She’s still pretty good though, 50 cap strength plus Astra? Ouch.
Severa
RATING: 271
CURRENT CLASS: Hero
SKILLS: Armsthrift, Pass, Galeforce, Sol, All Stats+2
Overall: Can get around better than Lucina, Sol, and Armsthrift to spam legendary weapons+forges. Deadly, thinking of replacing Sol with Astra though.
Kjelle
RATING: 308
CURRENT CLASS: Falcon Knight
SKILLS: All Stats+2, Aegis, Galeforce, Lancefaire, Relief
Overall: Utility. Can use staffs and runaway spamming relief skills. Once the DLC for fliers comes out I might replace Aegis with something. Needs forged weapons to hit hard though.
Chrom
RATING: 244
CURRENT CLASS: Paladin
SKILLS: All Stats 2, Rightful King, Aether, Dual Strike+, Aegis
Overall: My Chrom was garbage at first, but now things are starting to look up. Aegis to fix his crappy resistance and Aether is always nice. I want to replace Dual Strike Limit Breaker or something good. The only thing Lucina has over him really is Galeforce.
Gharnef
RATING: 248
CURRENT CLASS: Sorcerer
SKILLS: Anathema, Vengeance, Tomebreaker, Lifetaker, Hex
Overall: Poor man’s Morgan. Hard to kill than him though thanks to Lifetaker, I use him and Morgan to solo Infinite Regalia.
I thought long and hard about keeping Prince Marth, but he can’t support and Gharnef just outclasses him by far for harder DLC maps. Sorry, benched.
The Iote’s Shield DLC should be here in two weeks. None too soon too because stray arrows killing my fliers accounts for about eighty percent of my deaths.
Sweet! I already bought everything so I just have to reload the maps once they come out. I expect to finally see some tier list in a month or so.
