Well it seems that everyone thinks if I have madden08 it would need it’s own room or day seperate from the fighters. Unless I get madden sponsership madden may have to wait another year.

Larry, whatever you did to fix the ventilation at FRX, do it again for FR11. FR9 was a tropical jungle. FRX not really and that was even while wearing a lot of clothing.

If CvS2 is run on PS2 the tourney should run by much smoother.

I really, don’t mind the 1 match 3s. But thats because I’m out here in Japan and thats the normal. Tournaments have to be on the clock. because once the trains stop here. You cant go home. But as for FR 3 out of 5 is the standard.

MADDEN Community Vs. Fighting Game Community:** O.K. I’m a noob on this but what is the real problem? Whatever it is. This is where Team EMS comes into play. Team EMS has been able to operate tournaments in strange places with strange circumstances. For example: A prior FR, was held at somebody house with 100+ people and Audio Games was thrown in a nightclub in Atlanta. I’m sure we can handle a Madden tournament. Shinblanka was and prolly still a force in Madden Tournament scene in Atlanta. So if there was anyone who could bring the 2 communities together. It 's him. But as for the Madden tournament within FR. It will need to be on separate day with a 28 point skunk rule.
If I am able to come I want to have an official side tournament for Project Justice / Rival Schools “Custom Character Only!!!” tournament! I’ll run it outta my hotel room if need be.

Agreed. I was digging around and found the old Final Round 9 thread from where I posted the results, and one of my own complaints was not having a megaphone. And look what happened at 10! :lol:
One thing about madden is people take it waaaay more seriously than the fighting game community. LIke that TV show madden nation, you can kind of see how serious it is, but it doesn’t really depict the commjnity as a whole. I’ve been to those annual Madden national tournaments that they’ve held in atlanta and those cats are like ready to fight and shoot each other for real. Madden should be on a seperate date but there may also need to be a disclaimer of a zero tolerance of drama rule.
Not only do Madden heads not get along with their OWN, but they also usually resent having to share space with anything else.
Could you REALLY imagine trying to run Madden and Arcana Heart side-by-side deep in the heart of Atlanta???

:razz:as you said that show isn’t a good representation as the community as a whole. but from what I’ve heard about these madden tournament and the drama they bring. The zero tolerance is good and should be enforce to all tournament… not just madden.

When it ran side by side with the fight tournaments at Evo2K5. : “MLG sponsored Evo2k5 in Vegas. They were promptly boo’ed when the Halo 2 finals were announced at the event by the Fighting Game kids.” That’s disrespectful as fuck! Then with all the internal flaming on SRK, I’m surprise that SRK doesn’t have a Fire Department Thread! No matter what there will always be beef within.
