Final Fantasy Dissidia thread. Sequel announced!

I applaud them for making a Fanwank game that’s actually really good.

how in the hell is this game good?

It was the dude who voiced in various Digimon dubs, mainly clown-type Digimon.

It would’ve been even better if Mark Hamill did the voice-over. But seeing as he was busy with Arkham Asylum, I can live with this.

ya i’m sure mark hamill is a busy guy these days lolol

From what I hear, a lot of people are saying Exodus (Exdeath) is mad broken in NA version.

Which would kinda make sense seeing as he was the most broken villain they ever produced and all.

Also, yay for Terra not getting uber nerfed. I’d have been sad if she was low tier (unlike her antagonist Kefka, lol). I may have to make another Terra av for the occasion of the US release.

This game is so hard to understand from a spectator’s point of view. It just looks like the characters are flying around and randomly hoping to hit each other with blind projectiles.

all these changes make me want to purchase the game again, I got it as a souvenir for myself while I was studying abroad along with the special edition PSP (different from the NA PSP bundle) and enjoyed the game, but now I’m curious about how characters play differently.

@InfiDragon: Exdeath isn’t as good as he was in the JPN version, but he’s still pretty good. He also requires a lot of work and takes a long time to be able to play him. I don’t know any person aside from Fullmetal that took the time to learn him just because he’s too frustrating to learn.

Terra is a perfectly balanced character and she’s simple to learn, so go crazy. ;D

I won’t put Kefka in low tier anymore. Mid tier, maybe, but not low tier. Wiggle Wobbly Firaga is just enough for him to not be low tier. I can fire two in a row and then do something like Extra Crispy Firaga or Ultima and you won’t be able to do shit. He’s the perfect character when it comes to pressuring.

@frustratedsquirrel: Yeah, you have to play it to get it. My friend used to always talk about the game and show me videos before I got the game and I couldn’t understand shit…

@Mr. Bastos: I’d recommend it if you have people to play it with.

This game is my new crack :lovin:. Started playing the game today, going to main Terra, Square-Enix did an excellent job with the game. Going through story mode after work today.

If you’d like, I can provide you with my savefile. All the characters are level 100, so all you need to do is AP train and learn the characters. (=

I’m liking Firion so far. His BnB, Reel Axe>DC>Rope Knife> Double Trouble does SO much brave into an HP attack. Throwing out random spells in the air also helps too.

So far I can’t tell who’s low, so I’ve been trying out characters. Can’t find a damn thing much for Garland, no BP>Hp links, but that might because I don’t have all his skills/AP yet.

Garland is bad… His attacks aren’t good and all of them are slow… However, his ExMode makes up for it. My friend jokes about it saying his ExMode ability is “unknockability.”

They also removed some infinites, but they added some more… XD

anyone tried out ad hoc party with this game yet?

So I guess that one of the good things about the customisation available in this game is that if infinites end up breaking it in competitive play, then people can just ban the moves rather than the characters.

Got my PSP back up, will be getting this game tomorrow at Gamestop.

it’s not hard to softban the infinites; just don’t do the same string twice.

easy peasy

In other news: Garland might have a BP>HP link in the move that bounces into Earthquake

This is whats up about the jp tuned version.

That’s a terrible idea. Would you really want to limit people like that? Do we even know for sure if these infinites are worth softbanning.

Believe me, they are worth banning. Cloud was a HORRIBLE character in the JPN version, but he kept winning tournaments in Japan. Why? His infinite.

Hell, they already started banning them in Japan. =/

Pretty good.

I wish Adhoc Party didn’t require a wired PS3 internet connection =/
