Final Boss Guesses?

Well, Apocalypse is a well established villain and Onslaught was probably the biggest thing that happened to Marvel during the 90s. There hasn’t been a villain that big ever since, and he probably won’t ever be as big either. I’m not saying it was good, btw. Only that it was big. Anti-Monitor big. So it made sense (it still does).

The Sentry is hardly that. He was far more hype than anything else, precisely because he had to be forced on a story and shoved down the throat of a whole continuity, with a friggin bulldozer, in order to be treated like some kind of big deal (because he wasn’t, very much unlike Xavier and Magneto). And not even then did it manage to work.
I don’t know if Marvel intends to use him as the villain for MvC3, but I’m sure it’s the wrong choice. I can only hope they don’t.

So far, i really think The Beyonder/Capcom-villain-who-steals-The Beyonder-powers is the best choice.

I kinda leaning towards the scarlet witch cause she can warp reality recently.

Galactus plz.

Overused, not strong enough, not scheming enough, not even a real villain anymore. Would be a huge copout.

Overused? In what game?

No games, he just seems to pop up as the stock threat to the planet type guy. Not to mention how he’s not really a villainous character by design. Kind of a jerk, yeah, but not a villain.

Admittedly, I have a personal disdain for him as well.

Annihilus or Phalanx Ultron. Both who locked most of the known universe in major wars while Earth’s heroes squabbled among themselves. Heck, Annihilus even captured and imprisoned Galactus.

Actually, Bison/Vega with The Beyonder powers kinda makes sense. I mean, we’ve seen Bison use machines to power himself up in the past, he’s a dictator with his own country, and he’s a villain bent on world domination. Doom has pretty much those same credentials and stole The Beyonder’s powers in the first Secret Wars to become nigh-unbeatable. Its totally the kind of thing Bison would do if presented with the chance too.

Of course, there’s lots of Capcom villains, so maybe there’s better fits out there for something like that, but i still think the best move is somehow creating a villain that’s a nice mix of both universes. And again, that could be anything from Sigma with the Infinity Gauntlet to Ultron with Psycho Power (Ultron with the Sigma virus? lol that came out of nowhere).

EDIT: Yeah d3v, as i posted before i also think Annihilus would make a nice final boss but i think he’s kinda obscure. Although Marvel does seem very willing to put his space opera and cosmic stuff more into the spotlight lately so maybe, but i still think its a long shot. Albeit a good idea.

u guys are dumb…

its metaknight no items fd only

Speaking of Galactus. Abraxas would be a pretty good villain too.

Galactus would be applicable. Leaps & bounds better than Abyss.

Is Abraxis the dude that killed all the Galactus… came out of Eternity?

Been a long time since I was into comics.

What about Scarlet Witch or The Beyonder? The Void (don’t know much about this one… just friends talk)

Most people seem to think it’s going to be a Marvel Character. But what are the good names on the Capcom Universe? Something like a 2.0 Seth (from SSF4), a genetic engineered body with powers from Marvel characters and Capcom characters.

Hasn’t been done since Cyber Akuma…sounds cool.

I’d prefer Abraxis over Galactus, since the big-G hasn’t been a “villain” for a while now… But that isn’t to say Capcom couldn’t have a final boss. I would like the idea of a team for the final boss(es), but that would tip the scales towards one of the franchises (numerically). Especially if they hypothetical boss team wasn’t playable.

^^^
Well you could always have a mixed team, for example: first Sigma, then Ultron, and finally Ultron with the Sigma virus. Of course, that’s just the first example that popped into my mind, but you get the idea. Goldibus fused with the Phalanx, Thanos with the Elemental Crests etc.

But i’m betting its gonna have to be someone big. Like The Beyonder/Mephisto on the Marvel side, so someone akin to them on the Capcom side. I can’t think of a villain big enough, but there are concepts and ideas that could translate well, like the Elemental Crests as items of power instead of the Infinity Gems.

Doctrine Dark revealed the final boss.

As it’s been said, Galactus isn’t villainous enough, isn’t crafty enough, and isn’t dangerous enough ( because of the first two mostly ).

And the interview that was just posted in the new info thread seems to imply Dormammu is the final boss.

Thread over for now. Niitsuma said that the final boss is Dormammu.

Shoryuken - Ryota Niitsuma Talks Character Roster Creation for Marvel vs Capcom 3

Re-opened, due to people wanting to not take what Niitsuma said at face value. I thought it was a pretty clear statement, but maybe Im wrong.
