Phoenix
Pretty sure they said this won’t happen. Marvel or Capcom villian.
Marvel vs capcom 3: Onsluaght’s revenge
They said the villain is someone “comic readers will appreciate”, or along those lines.
Pretty sure the boss will be from Marvel.
Marvel villians just ‘read’ more powerfully than capcom ones. I mean pyron and galactus have essentially the same motivations (eating planets lol), and both are perfectly capable of doing so, but who comes off as more threatening?
Pyron. Galactus’ hat kills off his intimidating factor.
They said no OCs in MvC3.
I don’t see how Galactus cannot be considered a villain when he eats planets. I mean he doesn’t have to eat them. He could just starve his self to death instead of killing hundreds of billions of people.
I just hope its not him because he’s inutterably lame.
Duo…or Orochi…Why not?
The Void would be the best bet, 3 types of forms, interdemensional and cosmic presence. A Giant mode…
I would be okay with it being galactus. The title even works towards his favour. Fate of two worlds, he eats worlds, both sides don’t want that. Maybe have a couple of rounds be versus some heralds maybe a fight against terrax then firelord, all well galactus watches on, then the fight against galactus. It could work.
But then Abraxas will be free and destroy the universe. Glactus must live to keep Abraxas at bay.
Anyway, the final boss will probably be Sentry/The Void. He is a good 3 stage boss.
If it isn’t galactus, he is the best option, either way im happy
Abraxas would work. So would Void. Could probably come up with ten or twenty other good ideas… I just don’t see Galactus fitting. He’s strong, but not conniving, where a boss for something like this should be. Additionally he’s a planetary threat, not an interdimensional one.
Realistically the villain should be one of the “omniversal” threats. Course there’s only a few of those and most are a bit obscure or dated.
Which is why Dorm would have been perfect. I still think he might just have an unplayable form, he fits the required bill better than just about anyone else mentioned.
I want Waka as the end-boss. Not some big stomping freak you can nuke to death, someone who’d be a hardcore monster to fight.
if it really is a Marvel boss (which would be a shame as it’s nearly always a marvel boss)… well I don’t care, Dirk Anger FTW.
The Void barely exists outside of the Bendis universe that became Marvel after SI… He’s a sad excuse of a non-character that will be fogotten by everyone in a few years time, and is already being ignored by Marvel. The whole arc from New Avengers onwards was a story meant for the Scarlet Witch anyways, and the only reason Bendis ended up using The Sentry was because editorial felt Wanda was too valuable a character to destroy like that.
So instead Bendis had to force The Sentry into the storyline(and destroy in the process) and pray it wouldn’t turn out horrid. It kinda did anyway so everyone looked away and kept going like nothing happened. Of course the original concept behind The Sentry wasn’t a bad one and worked in its own little continuity and it only became a mess due to the aforementioned incident with editorial… but that’s a whole other topic.
The point is, i sincerely doubt Marvel will bring more light into the subject by using him as a villain for this franchise now.
At least i reallyreallyreallyreallyreallyreallyreallyreallyreallyreallyreallyreallyreallyreallyreallyreallyreallyreally hope they don’t.
Also, Galactus is not a villain simply because he’s not portrayed as one. At least not since like, the 80s or something. He’s portrayed as a force of nature. A cosmic power. The villains are the cosmic power wannabes (Thanos, Apocalypse, etc)
And how about this for a villain:
The Beyonder.
He would actually make a lot of sense, storywise, and could be made even better if some shenanigans like the ones in the actual Secret Wars happened and maybe some Capcom villain managed to steal his powers this time (instead of Doom).
Dr. Wily with the Beyonder powers would rock, but i’ll admit that that’s the first one that came to mind and there’s probably a lot of better fits for a Capcom villain that works with that frame.
flavor of the month villain as end boss? oh no! whatever will apocalypse and onslaught think?!?!?!!???
i really hope its the sentry/void/crab void from siege as a 3 part end boss
Strider w Doom AA + infinite meter
Apocalypse!!!
