Dormammu cam change size though. He’s extremely powerful either way. I doubt the boss would have two other people anyway, bosses usually just have multiple forms.
You obviously don’t know the extent of Dormammu’s power. He can make him self extremely large on whim. And if he wanted to, Take over a dimension. It wouldn’t make sense for a boss to be weaker than the characters.
We are talking about someone who took control of the whole universe in his dimension already. He cannot die because he would simply reform himself somewhere else in the universe and comeback absorbing all of the energy in the universe and making it his own. The only way you can beat him is if you banish him back to the Dark dimension. And In there Galactus would get wrecked so hard.
Mean while galactus is … slowly eating away at the millions of planets in the univerese one by one…
I have to agree that I think Dormammu is a standard character, not a boss, because of the way he is being marketed. Too early, and the way he was shown with Joe on the t-shirts makes him seem more like a standard character.
Nah he got beat by a volcano, he would even last in that form in SF4.
Non-Orobouros Wesker is way more iconic and cool for a character anyway, but he wouldn’t make a good end boss.
It’s probably Dormmamu, but if not then it’s Set.

I have my own little theory about his entrance. I think the trailer isn’t over yet. It wouldn’t end with all that seriousness
My theory for the rest of the trailer: He makes his entrance and everybody stops their fight, they think: “whoa, who the hell is that guy? he just came out of a fiery dimentional portal, he must be pretty strong. who’s gonna fight him?”. That’s when Viewtiful Joe comes flying across the air kicking some major Dormammu’s butt. Everybody smiles and keep up with their fight. The trailer continues to introduce new characters…
As for the final boss, I would like to see Dr. Willy inside a giant robot that looks like a Marvel character.
He was actually climbing out of the Volcano. It took it rocket launcher knocking him back in. As far as a fighting game he could start out as Non-Orobouros Wesker and transform into Ourbouros Wesker.
That theory doesn’t work all that well since the Marvel characters know who he is. Wily would be a bad choice(Especially over a mystic villain like Dormammu) and he’s not really the type of villain that is an dimensional threat. Anyway and the final boss will more than likely be a Marvel villain.

Galactus wouldn’t work as a Final Boss. Its a terrible idea.
Galactus hardly ever fights, he’s not the type. He’s also not really a force of destruction, and hardly anything close to “evil” or “a villain”. Someone like Thanos would work a lot better. Maybe throw in the infinity gauntlet for good measure. Dormammu would have worked too if they hadn’t made him a regular cast member as they did.
Other than that… maybe Bastion? They have used X-Men villains as bosses in the past and he could throw sentinels and become a giant and other gimmicks that are very Final Boss-like. That being said, he’s kinda obscure, and i’m betting Marvel will be looking to put as a final boss some character they want to build up as a villain for future stories or something to that effect. Someone they want to bring attention to in order to use later. So maybe Annihilus? Or Selene? (Necrosha is already over, however)

I still like the Mojo idea. Considering that there aren’t many people that can trick/control Dormammu, there simply aren’t many choices (and they seem to be putting a lot of thought into the story still, so it probably won’t be TOTALLY nonsensical).
Certainly not someone like Thanos or Galactus.

The thing with Galactus is that he’s not a villain. He hasn’t been depicted as one by marvel for years now. He’s a force of nature “just doing his job”. That’s why he wouldn’t work, you need “a bad guy” and Galactus is not that anymore.
Also, he’s not really someone you fight against, he’s just not willing, and is in an uber enough position to ignore you. Annihilus makes more sense if some kind of cosmic-level threat is what you’re looking for, since he is a fighter who gets his hands dirty, he is a villain, and he does consume planets/galaxies/universes. That being said, i don’t really think its Annihilus, but it would be cool.
I really hope its not The Void. The Sentry/Void was such a blatant Mary Sue that giving him more screen time is just wrong. Also, i get the feeling that Marvel really wants to play dumb and call as little attention as possible on the whole Sentry deal, given how the whole thing played out and how Bendis ended up using the character.
I also like the Mojo idea someone mentioned, but it seems like a longshot (heh) given how he’s been out of the picture (hehe…again) for a long time now.
If this was the DCU the Anti-Monitor would be ideal, but its not so whatever.
We have to consider too that there’s a good chance its some original CAPCOM character especially created for the game like in MvC2.
