Fighting Games: Bottom of the Barrel

Don’t forget to mention that they added the retarded Meteo system. MvC3’s air exchange system has nothing on that.

That was dumb. Especially since the Butoden games also had “Meteo” combos, but they were more like combo supers than the shit in Final Bout. That, plus they needed real execution to pull off: :b::f::d::u:+attack FTL.

So does anyone want to make a top countdown of the worst fighting games hand picked by SRK in this thread?

I’d help.

The SNES for this game is absolute trash. The Genesis one is even worse (see the video till the end!). Young people have no idea of how many stupid SF2 clones appeared in the nineties.

Fatal Fury is also very bad, but it is far from being the worst. Double Dragon V would be pretty close to Justice League Task Force.

YOU ARE THE BEST FROM NOW! clap

With that in mind…

lol yes. Whenever I played the Genesis Butoden with my cousins, I would pick Captain Ginyu just for that. Plus his theme was awesome.

I agree dude. I think the Butoden games had a way better presentation far as graphics and sound go, on top of the super beam clashing and counters. If it had real combo’s, it would of been awesome, like that Sailor Moon fighter.

Well, if you liked that one, you’re going to love this one. Back in 2007, one of the guys that worked on “Street Fighter the Movie the Game” posted
here on SRK telling everyone about his experience. Luckily, the thread survived.

Scroll through and look for posts by “anoon.” I remember reading this when it was posted, and was really
surprised by what he had to say. He talks about the dev teams feelings, dealing with Capcom, and a lot
of other stuff. Check it out.

EDIT: It looks like someone bumped it in 2010, so many of you may have already seen
this.

Shit, that sucks! I believe Atari Boxing is better than that in every sense, but graphics.

BTW, there are tons of much better games that still suck, such as Power Moves. You could just pick a character with fast walking speed and spam while advancing, sort of like the “Mavrick Special” or Chun’s st.Strong, with the difference that you can cover the distance from pushback and always maintain frame advantage.

That’s awesome
Thanks!

^Man, it’s telling when I actually liked the Transmetals game for N64 as a kid because the fighting game selection for that system was so horrible that I’d take anything I could.

Also, shout-outs to Jurassic Park Warpath shown a few posts above. Had to play that at OSO4: if only I knew that you could eat animals for health!

Nope, I mentioned that on like, the first page.

Probably ‘Deadliest Warrior: Legends’, for me. Though, to be fair, I do have some fun with it. It’s brutally violent, and the gameplay is… pleasantly unique, and bearable. Everything else though, (the graphics, physics, voice acting) all laughably bad.

Hernan Cortez sounds like the biggest tool to ever bring down an ancient civilization.
Shaka Zulu apparently invented a magic spear that can take your limbs off without ever making physical contact with you.
and William Wallace is mad OP. I know that he handled a claymore like a short sword, which was his claim to fame, but this is a video game and he’s just too fast for how strong his weapon is.

I love how the game had so much hit stun, that doing a crouching jab, walking up, and doing another crouching jab was an infinite.

Ultimate 22 was a joke, fly into the air and fall 40 feet to the ground… IN SLOW MOTION!!

Dragon Ball Z legends was fun until you hit a corner. Then you can do jab xx power up [repeat x THEY DIE]
To bad in single player, levels were fuckin’ huge. But in Vs. mode, it was like 10 feet behind you.

But the cool thing about final bout was THIS AWESOME SONG!!

Haha. That Justice League game looks legit. You mad cause I can block your air attacks and jab outta blockstun?! Space dat junk right! Learn 2 Play. Super Man otg. rofl

…And that Beast Wars game looks beastly.

Mortal Kombat.

but seriously, Deadliest warrior

street fighter alpha 2 on the SNES.

i don’t even know if there was much strategy in the game. i do remember that there were “tiers” to this game and iirc that the guy who shoots his gun for his punch attacks is top tier according to the “tiers for shitty fighting games” thread.

I played Apha 2 on snes…I dont know about the tiers in that game…but my god, Charlie is garbage…Flash kick is the worst I’ve seen it in any game…I’m pretty sure it wasnt that bad in Alpha 1 for the playstation.

Charlie was pretty top tier in Alpha 2, generally. I don’t know about the SNES version, but he was in the second tier, for sure.

I’ve seen him put on with Akuma and Sagat, and when the game first came out, Japan labelled him as second highest ranking.
