Dash hellfire, empty short dash, empty long dash and backdash makes it better than 5.5/4.5. Zazie can get around fireballs really easily and you have to remember that 1 bnb from Zazie is instadeath for Ray too. Wheel kick is way too risky in that matchup for it to matter. Add to it that as soon as Zazie is 3/4 of the screen away or less, he can pretty much do dash hellfires on reaction and/or randomly without risks… that actually means that as soon as Zazie goes through 1 fireball from full screen against Ray with any dash, Ray’s only solution is… to walk backwards. And as soon as he hits the corner, he’s fucked. I’d rate it 6.5/3.5 for Zazie.

I totally agree with how you see Jean as it’s exactly how i see him. He is a pure turtling beast. No need to put pressure when no one can get close to you… and he has a excellent chip game too.

Although I defiantly am of the opinion that zazzy is the dummiest character in the game, I have a hard time believing ray can lose any match to the point of 6.5.

Anywho I think I posted it before but I guess I will give my opinion again on specific match thing jig. We should do something like this again and compare. So ill put what that one japanese ranking thing did, BBH did and me.Also my rating will always error on the side of pessimisticness errr… something. Mizo vs

On a random note I saw some japanese guy when I would do mizos big combo durning the last loop of it, he would switch positions and it would make mizos close stand fierce become his far stand fierce, so… That would end the combo. Dunno if thats just something you can do durning that part of the combo. But if thats true that you can just get out of mizos combo(or maybe it was just lag shrug)… well I wonder if thats a way you can get out of some combos…

So apparently Jean gets ambiguously crossed up easier than most of the cast… Been experimenting with this and it is especially bad because I can’t find exactly what causes this phenomenon.

Anyone who thinks ryoko is for free better bring there coupon cuz there about to get squished by some bitty titties. It was fun while it lasted, but looks like we can put this game to rest.

You challenged me multiple times over and over not to long ago, only to then tell me you were done or some bs because you didnt realize this is the way the game was played. HA… now you are saying this never happened, and you havent played the game since 2008? WTF I only played the game a few times ever, and only got it period what 2009 in march o r something? lol I guess must have replaced a whole year!?

Ryoko though… Even though she has difficulty getting in she only needs to score 2 hits to win. By no means she’s top or even mid, but the fact that you can get jD -> 5c -> Fire Wheel on crossup or frontal hit is something to think about. I wouldn’t like to say that she’s better than Marst but at the same time you have to consider the following:

  1. Better ground mobility
  2. Better aerial mobility
  3. Roll goes under fireballs
  4. Has better damage output
  5. Slide punishes more things than Double German
    On paper she is definitely better. I don’t think she’d win vs Marstorious in 1v1, but she has more tools to deal with the fireball heavy cast. If you look at the things Marstorious doesn’t have that prevent him from being good, Ryoko has them. She definitely does have a shitty weak spot that is very easy to hit, so that alone could kill her chance at being better than Marst. Just some random thoughts.

u have very slim windows to go under some fireballs and im not sure about more damage or wtf “slide” is.

Yea I think you can try and abuse the fact with ryoko since anti airs dont knock down in the game. Sorta like a… you can hit me all you want, but I win in 2 combos sorta mentality… Are you solid enough to stop me from jumping in like a jack ass enough to the point you can win? So far I havnt found anyone that can discourage it. And dont get me wrong I think ryoko sucks and is the worst character in the game. But yea jump in HK has a good amount of priority and in general can realistically trade with many moves from many distances. And going by the thought of as long as your even your not losing thats not a bad spot for ryoko. All you have to do is wait for one mistimed move where you come on on favor and you have ambiguous mix up to instant death.

Slide is teleport throw im assuming hes talking about. You can use that to get in to. Empty jump in, to teleport throw is basically a quarter screen way to get in unblockable. And once you knock down wtih anything you have ambiguous cross up jump hk to mix up that kills pretty quickly.

anyway random damage just to say…

Jump attack, walk up, or walk back to walk up(depend on which side you landed on)stand hp, fire wheel does 60% life. Only need 2 to kill.

Also you can make it “easier” on yourself by comboing to shoulder toss throw, then jump foward to fire wheel is still a legitament combo and combos from a bit farther away. You can actually get a FAR stand fierce to shoulder toss.

For a potentially broken combo you can actually get jump in to stand p, stand hp, shoulder toss, then jump foward df+hp, down down+hp for 90% NINETY percent life if you mash. Unfortunately the move is terribly unfriendly if the other dude is mashing and in general does around a normal throw. I tried vs the cpu, and randomly I can get 90% off this combo, and other times ive seen the cpu literally get out after 2 mash hits. Maybe theres a rhythm that disrupts/overrides the other dudes mashing? Anyway yea this is potentially a pretty dum combo, but just doesnt work out I guess… maybe if someone had auto fire or something to correctly test it.

And of course she has infinite but I tried and personally even when you get it going its just to hard it seems, and it can be akward in the corner at best. And since your doing a very tedious non damaging infinite… well… anyway not sure how realistic this is, then again I have tons of nerve damage so long tedious combos are not my friend…

Anyway yea… I think you might be able to get a rolly polly to shoulder toss as a semi realistic combo as well.

And of course yea she does have a ton of weaknesses, worst dizzy spot in the game(mas may have the worst to start the match off with, but all around ryokos is worse)and her roll suffers that mizoguchi hurricane kick syndrome of getting you something on hit, and getting you punished if blocked but I think she can steal some wins…

and yea our connection doesnt mix well.

All Ryoko tournament go go go :O. Even though she has lots of probs I think she’s pretty fun to use for the most part. FS you talking about her air throw loop/infinite thing? I guess if you have the life lead and wanted to be an ass you could try going for it to kill time.
