Fighters History Dynamite Insanity DVD: The Great Grapple, Amuse Popeye tourny vid

Great game, I have it on my PC SHHHH. There should be a remake with a new engine, on a new platform and with new sprites, but with the same good old fashioned glitchy gameplay. YEAH RIGHT!

That match was amazing. I didn’t think that anything could go through Zazee’s flaming punch. Thanks for sharing.

I just bought the DVD and I have a couple questions.

Why does every block high against the ballon, why not duck low and I take it no can do a anti air move against it.

Also why dont no one ever use Mizoguchi mega fireball move ?, even when he gets someone dizzy

Also my fav is Ray, esp his thunder dynamite move

There are a few moves that can beat the Baloon without having to time and range it perfectly. The main one is Matlock’s c.HP. MAtlock is my fave chara in that game, he’s really technical and would fit in pretty seemlesly to the SF2 engine, unlike most of the rest of the cast who are just insaine. Could you tell me if there are many Matlock matches on the DVD?

I was hoping they would do a booklet with the DVD like the SF2 one, showing all the hitbox data. I wonder what the Baloon hitboxes are like? I imagine one tiny vulnerable spot in the small of his back or something crazy like that.
Even if the Baloon can’t hit you when you duck,I’m pretty sure he can air chain into a LK on the way down (Darkstalkers style) so that would hit the low block. Then only death follows!

I guess no one bothers with the mega fireball coss his normal combos are so powerful. I’ve seen him put together like 10hits using the multi part air kick and elbow dash. Plus he has another Supermove thats much better I think, and can be combod. Its a multi hit DragonPunch alot like that Ken Alpha series one (Shoru Reppa?)
Pls tell about anyother interesting strat/ characters on the DVD.

Crayfish.

Mizoguchi’s mega fireball has quite the start up time, so it’s not really the best move in his arsenal to use?.

That Karnov warp glitch? Talk about abuse? I could see myself using that against my friends all day.
I’d put Yung Mie some where in the top 5 also, as she can be a pain with her projectile if you know how to abuse it? I mean use it effectively!:wgrin:

If you’ve played Fuunsaiki you’ll notice it feels kinda un-finished (especially after playing the first game), almost like they hurried it, just look at the broken combo system, not to mention if you get hit just right (that’s right if you get HIT), there’s also an Invincibility glitch!..hehehe!

Something else that’s whacked about FS’s combos is the ability to do 9+ jab/short attacks while jumping in and then going into the juggle sequence…but then again you’re also able to do that Shield Move (I don’t know what it’s called as I don’t know Japanese), but it would make you imune to attacks for about 4 + seconds, but not against throws…

There’s actually 3 Fighters History games. 1) Fighters History. 2) FHD or Karnovs Revenge. 3) FH Mizoguchi kiki Ippatsu (for the SFC system) which has Chelnov aka the Atomic Runner as the final boss. Though they took out my fav. character Ray, its still a solid game.

That’s pretty interesting to see FHD still gets played in small tourneys like that.

Before I Forget Eric J, VERY NICE FIND!

Is there ANY differences between Dynamite and FH1?

Cept for new characters?

Mizoguchi > All

If you duck low vs balloon you gonna get hit cause you wont know if he doin the a version or the c version. C version goes thru anything on the startup frames. Also, its not mizugochi over all. Also, if you guys up to play this on kaillera. hit me up.

Yeah I was totaly shocked when I first faced Chelnov in that game.
FIGHT! CHELNOV! FOR PROLETARIAN UPHEAVAL OF BOURGEOISE CAPITALISM!

Crayfish.

Some of the priorities for some the special moves have been altered, and it feels like DE made being able to do combos with all the characters more easier to pull off, too which characters like Ryoko and Marstorius can now combo with their command throws. The game plays/moves much faster like HF…
They changed and took out some moves for a few of the characters, and added super moves which can be done anytime during a round…

i have a question about this games blockign system
playing the emulated NG version iv noticed that once in blockstun from a blocked hit i could block lows standing up sometimes? is this a problem with the version or does this happen in the arc version as well?

Hrmm I dont know… But I do know someone needs to put up some mizoguchi action!

In my small experience with the game, Karnov is top by himself. Under that, Mizoguchi, Zazie, Marstorious. Then like Ryoko, Ray, Lee, Yungmie, Matlock. Then Jean and that muay thai guy. Then Fei Lin and Clown, those are crap chars. This is all prolly way off tho other than Karnov being best.

Anyway this game rules.

it’s actually more like:

S: Karnov, Zazie, Samchay
A: Lee, Ray, Mizoguchi, Marstorious, Matlok
B: Yungmie, Ryoko, Jean, Feilin
C: Clown

Karnov used to be “wtf”-tier like Toki in HNK ( in FH2/Mizoguchi on SNES he was pretty much untouchable because there was no hole in frames of blockstun between his cr.D or charge 4 2sec 6+D and cr.A, grab the rom and try it on the CPU sometime ) but since the game has balanced itself out over the years and people have gotten used to countering his shit in Japan ( just watch Ray players zone the shit out of him if you don’t believe me ) the tiers have evened out with the win rates being in favor of Karnov, Zazie and Samchay players…Samchay being particularly dirty what with “Teega Blow” all over the place leading into tick throws and his safe ass fireball

that Lee combo is easy but actually pretty hard to land on someone good:
j.D cr.A cr. A cr. A cr. C ( or. s.C ) 236A 236C

this is my favorite fighting game
well, this and JoJo

Yep, I think it’s a pretty solid game. The biggest turn off though, is the lack of characters. First you had FH that had a decent sized roster, but then they drop so many characters out for the next game (probably for the space for the nicely detailed sprites compared to FH). And the game does seem a little unbalanced. Karnov with an uppercut sounds like a bad idea cuz he already has a lot of good stuff, and Mizugochi has an hitstun/blockstun infinite. [Standing jab x qcf RH] x n - Hella cheap if you can get the hit, but luckily you can’t do it forever if you do it in midscreen.

Are sure about that tier list? How the hell is Samchay so good? I thought the top three is Karnov, Lee, and Zazie. How’s Lee worst than Samchay?

Samchay can force blockstun on Lee EASILY. Just “TEEGA-BLOW” or that sliding hit move with his elbow+knee and there really isnt much Lee can do, Lee has good normals but Samchay’s stupid ass TEEGA BLOW is way better and he can outprojectile Lee and force him to make mistakes. If Lee doesn’t land his TOD then he’s fucked.

motherfucker’s braindead, there’s a bunch of matches on the DVD where this one Samchay rapes a Zazie, a Karnov, AND a Lee in the same win streak, i think it was one of the two above players, if i find it on my HD i’ll put it on youtube

speaking of samch is it possible to ambig crossup people on wakeup with the flyng knee?

Clown isn’t so bad, I even found a unblockable with him but it’s only mid screen and somewhat difficult to land perfectly.

Please do, put some on youtube!

Is there a trick to do Ray’s Lightning Shoulder Tackle, as I’ve never been able to do it?

does it involve the card and vertical roll crossup?

it’s charge back 2 sec, then tap forward twice and punch
