It’s actually much worse

“Available soon after launch”

facepalm

well everything is relative…

I think they will release a big patch with the last DLC of the season Urien. It’ll include these at least:

1- Fight Money Daily Challenges
2- Extra Battle (which will give fight money)
3- All new stage extensions and interactions.

They’d wanna clean up the first season/year of the game’s life so they can move on to S2, the balance patch, and a possible relaunch of the game next year. So they’d wanna finish up on their promises by September IMO.

I don’t think it is realistic for them to give more fight money per match at this point since they balanced their pricing around these numbers. What they will likely do is offer new ways to earn fight money (dailies for example) and possibly offer discounts for season pass owners with the season passes in the future.

There should definitely be discounts for SP owners. Or more included in the SP. Alt stages and the original set of premium costumes for all characters

I think a 10-15% discount for SP owners is very fair and gives customers another incentive to get the SP in the first place. It’s a win for everyone.

Another option is to give bonus fight money for win streaks but this would require that they implement a very strong anti-RQ mechanism.

Nope, 10-15% is not fair. 50% or don’t even bother. Even then costumes would cost twice they used to in SFIV, and paying for SP is basically buying a disc again like before.

Sorry but we gotta be realistic. That’s too high of a discount. Just like we need to pay less for shit, Capcom also needs money to logically keep supporting the game. You want them to keep supporting this right? I think any discount in excess of 25% at most is completely unreasonable. Especially when Capcom have given us a very real way to get stuff for free. You just can’t reasonably get EVERYTHING for free and I’m completely okay with that.

The Season Pass is already a fair deal. You’re getting 6 characters, 6 costumes, and a stage. Anything extra is just a cherry on top.

You also need to consider that in time many of these DLC will be bundled or be discounted anyway. What you’re asking is an instant discount of 50% on release for premium DLC, and that’s just absurd from a business standpoint TBH.

So SFIV business model was not realistic? What part of buying a SP is equivalent to buying a new disc you didn’t get?

If one prefers to grind, cool, stick with your overpriced DLC. But if I buy SP, I should get considerably lower prices for the premium content released during that season. It’s a fair trade that actually encourage players to buy the SP every year. Both ways support the game.

10% off would be like 10 costumes for the price of 9, is that a good deal for you? That would sound like “Ok, we actually think SP is a good deal, but since you guys are complaining so much, take this token discounts and shut the fuck up. Be grateful”. If you think that way, sorry I gotta disagree. This season pass shouldn’t even be named season pass.

Wait till next year before claiming we have a “very real” way to get stuff for free. In the long run, I don’t see this being true for the vast majority of players. Maybe it’s you who is not being realistic here.

As things are now. I’d rather just go back to title/disk updates. I feel like I’m being fucked in the arse at the moment.

Yeah, I can earn FM by grinding survival on hard and not enjoy a single minute. Or I can use my free time (after working two jobs and having a spouse) and play a mode I enjoy. Even then, matchmaking is shit and results aren’t always sent to the server.

The game is a joke right now, there isn’t any defending it. As customers we deserve better

Oh come on. You can’t blame the game for not catering to what is most likely a very poor life decision.

Having a job is a poor life decision?

The guy could be a doctor working 70+ hours a week. He could be supporting ill relatives.

Working too much to have enough free time to plough in to fighting games isn’t a poor life choice. Don’t be an idiot

Ok, maybe he had a valid excuse. I probably shouldn’t assume he was just coasting at some crap job. My bad.

Word

Tbh after a consumer paid 60+30 of Season 1 Pass
After have asked another 25 for CPT pack and locking single cool elements of it behind absurd price
For a game that still lack elements/modes/need refinement
For game where fans ask for fix since day1 like to fix clipping and them are all “Ain’t Nobody Got Time for That”, but then fix cameras and tits left and right as soon they fear some fat SJW with a blog may feel offended (but clipping still there, maybe tomorrow)

Get discount like
3.99 -> 2.99
1.99 -> 0.99

Is not unrealistic, it’s called don’t be greed shits and understand that

Happy S1P owner -> future S2P owner
Not happy S1P owner -> future middle finger

They’re grinding moneys like hookers on coke abstinence
Except hookers fuck a lot to get a lot of moneys
Capcom keep ask a lot but give not much

I own a S1P and i’m ok with it, but after this good act as consumer these DLC prices are robbery

Let others pay high costumes to support the game, for who already supported it chosing pay 30 instead gring FM the prices i listed are fair

in all due respect and realistically, 50% isn’t unrealistic.

I could understand if we were cherry picking and the game was great, but it’s not and gave us a ton of issues.

No one enjoys the game and online - everyone RQ’s or plays characters that can abuse lag to win. Not to mention the toppling climb to amass any fight points with the way things currently are, the underwhelming story mode we had to wait for, still not even a damn decent and normal arcade mode along with battle lounges still being subpar to work with and slow to load up whose fucking laggy and who isn’t. not to mention the glitch that keeps you stuck sitting there when someone may kick you from the room, you being stuck staring at the world until you reboot, making you give an arm and a leg just to get a stick working on the game via PC, delaying ibuki’s release, shit not always on time in updates, among other shit - the game could quite honestly give the shit to us for FREE, but asking for 50% off would ACTUALLY be underselling us.

realistically if they don’t actually do any “too good to be true” deals for us, they’ll lose their player base and V will flop like it’s been doing in sales thusfar.

so fuck that 10% shit and fuck crapcom if they think it’s a smart idea.

I get what you are saying but Capcom did not rob us. They have been very transparent about their pricing and what you get for it. They’ve also been transparent about their intent for SF5 to be a continuously updated platform that you need to buy into. The information was out there for any consumer to look for.

The initial game gives you 16 characters and 11 stages. Going by Capcom’s DLC pricing model that’s over $120 easy, which is **well beyond **the $60 dollar initial asking price. Then they threw in several different modes of varying quality like a 3-4 hour cinematic story. Those account for something to some people to say the least.

The Season Pass is also a fair deal going by the DLC pricing model that Capcom laid out. You are getting more than what you are paying for.

Therefore, Game + SP is totally within reason. Especially now when you can get the game for much cheaper than $60.

Leave CPT out of this because that was specifically priced with the intent of donating a large portion of the proceeds to CPT. You guys keep bringing it up as a stick to beat Capcom with and conveniently ignore the intent behind this product. Don’t.

So as I said, Capcom did not rob us. It’s been a very rocky road since launch, and a lot of mistakes were made. But cheat us out of our money they did not.

Stop being so self-entitled. You don’t deserve anything more than what you are paying for, and in the off chance you do get more than what you paid for, enjoy it.

SF4 saga expanded too throught years, without the same level of robbery

Should we REALLY speak about lock very basic 10 colors we got in every SF since dinosaurs behind a purposely shit mode with the plan of sell it later?
Or the mode supposed to help make Fight Money STILL not released (ooops!) ?
Or the game get launched incomplete as product but full as price?

Pls

Let alone stuff locked behind shitty CPT tax, just game+SP1 they are at 90$+ DLCs and is’nt even passed one year

You can get the game cheaper because they bombed the launch, not because they’re generous
My bad being a SF fan that supported them paying full price it day1

It’s not about be self-entitled it’s about (lack of) smart marketing on theyr side, show gratitude to most active supporters is the way to build a loyal fanbase that will keep support the product throught years

The system they built give cheap grinders a way to get stuff, but do nothing to encourage/fidelize true fans willing to pay to get a good product
Ask 3.99$ for a single costume to somebody that already given quick 90$ to your bombed product is not smart marketing

Is just know the many PC peoples will mod in a lot of priced stuff for free, that many cheap grinders will die before give you 1$, so you go try to suck blood from the ones stupid enough to still show support

Ironically my job is’nt far from that, and i assure you that in a normal successful company if your best clients that paid full price annual subscription ask for little things you give them with special price, maybe even free
I also assure you that if i dare to ask these clients to pay full price for minor stuff after they already paid good $$$, most of them will feel offended (even if are not even theyr personal money) and each year we will lose a good number of them

You can go read my post around, i defended both SFV and SP (even adding that we got Guile Stage free), but there is a thin line between be trusting and be cheat-free

Example free Guile stage was the way to go, too bad they quickly ruined it asking money (full price) for Rog’s Las Vegas
They will have lost some 1.99$/70kFM, but they will have encourage more future 30$ S2P owners

I love SF but the peoples that control it currently are greed trash

I don’t know if i will buy S2P, i give them the benefit of the doubt until that day
So at least personally they already passed from SURE extra 30$ to maybe extra 30$
If they don’t change attitude i will change mine, just say fuck it and buy it for PC to get everything free

Good job crapcom, go worry about fix Cammy’s hinted nipples to avoid (lol) that some fat feminist with a blog write something negative about SFV

Also about
"The initial game gives you 16 characters and 11 stages. Going by Capcom’s DLC pricing model that’s over $120 easy, which is well beyond the $60 dollar initial asking price."

In business you don’t go by your own "pricing model"
Luxury products maybe, but a Ferrari does’nt have clipping and missing a wheel

You search the perfect balance where you get the maximum $$$ AND the clients feel satisfied and will pay again next year

Price is dictated by market and competitors, current SFV prices are absurd and designed to take advantage of SF loyal fanbase

lurury cars have more “DLC” than SF lol, and they have been doing it for years. They arent missing a wheel but a whoooole bunch of other useful stuff you would expect…

Speak for yourself.
