Normal survival it’s kinda easy
All problem are the last 5, but they all have some AI weakness: Ryu, Gief, Nash, Nec, Bison
Arrive full heatlh to Ryu then
Ryu- suffer pressure and offer punishable hado from far, make him turtle and he’s fucked… like he block the same attack 2 times and eat it the 3rd until the end
Gief- can be keept at bay the whole fight with long normals and sweeps, just run away when he jump in
Nash- suffer pressure, make him turtle and he’s fucked
Nec- can be keept at bay the whole fight with long normals and sweeps, compared to Gief you just have to fear a lil more crush counters
Bison- he’s a bit a bastard but with most characters you can keep him far and he’s stupid. As soon you have a CA just try jump ins until you can combo one into a CA
Game sold poorly and was always intended to be a cash grab, so the low fight money is on purpose to force cash purchases. Just enjoy.
Can’t wait for Daily Challenges to come out and give me something to do other than fucking Survival.

Even with a FM rework I know it wouldn’t save this game at all. I try really hard to like this game and it has a least a few of my favorite characters in it, but so much stuff feels so rushed and unpolished I have to treat it more like a job than a game. A good amount of my friends really don’t care for it too much anymore and the hyped up story mode did pretty much nothing, but that’s a whole new level altogether.
The worse of this case is that even if I managed to get enough money for one single character after the grind I don’t even feel like the returning characters are even worth it. These characters feel so much more linear than they previously were gameplay wise and it feels like I’m grinding out for a watered down version of someone I actually like. I’m not expecting any characters to play the same way they did before, but someone who did crazy stuff like Juri and Ibuki feel very hollow as returning characters and V Triggers aren’t cutting it nowhere near enough. Outside of the fanservice of vets what am I really even grinding out for if they don’t even feel fun?
I know it’s mostly me sounding like I’m blaming the fact that I don’t like the characters, but I just really feel disappointed and I’d rather not grind it out for some characters that just don’t even feel like I’m enjoying myself, but fun is subjective so if you enjoy those characters by all means play them.
I have a very basic problem with all of this.
My job prevented me from having much/any time to spend on fighting games AT ALL for almost 7 years. I realize that’s a long time, but I was always a big fan of Marvel vs Capcom 2. I bought the XBL Arcade version in my spare time, but had to buy a new 360, and all of a sudden I don’t have the game anymore. Can’t be bought at any price. Picked up a copy of ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3, and again - most of the content is DLC, and can’t be had at any price.
This angers me to no end. I bought the game. I bought the season pass. I STILL cannot get all of the content. I’m basically $100 into this single game, and they want more cash out of me. I’m rusty as sin at mechanics. I’m having to re-learn things, and learn entirely new mechanics in some places, and although it isn’t so bad as “pay to win” games, when I have bought the season pass, and have bought the game, give me all of the content. What excuse is there?
The other part is that I need to have a way to nail that content to the floor so that no matter what happens to the console, no matter what happens to my PSN account, I will always have access. I’m currently saving up for a Behar Bros Toro to get my dreamcast going again for MvC2. Kinda hacked off that I will never have the chance to get a full-content UMvC3 copy.
It’s convenient how long it’s taken them to release the “daily challenges” function that was promised months ago. Couldn’t get daily challenges out but you managed to find a way to release a $25 dlc pack that has a stage and some colours and a couple outfits. $25. You can buy Bloodborne for $14 at Walmart right now.
Not trying to disrespect anyone that did buy that dlc pack but I think that it just shows Capcom haven’t learned anything from the SFXT days and are just as happy to milk us all now as they were before.
Can’t wait to see how much fight money/real money the colours that are locked behind survival mode cost lol.

they still haven’t even done anything about the ragequitters or the bot spammers for fm. so i don’t expect a thing involving the fm system getting fixed any time soon.
