FGD Lounge: for general fighting game discussions that aren't thread worthy

KOF 2002 Athena is looking at you, boyee

Jumping and returning to neutral during the prejump frames, and holding up throughout them shouldn’t create any form of delay. And if there is any, it’s extremely small and can just be considered the start up for that jump.

?

2002 Athena = super shoto

KOF 2002 Athena has an incredible zoning game and coupled with great mobility options for mind fuckery (jumping off the wall, teleports, backdash 2+B, hyper hops + air grab if you wish, etc) make her one of if not the best character in the game.

98 Athena’s zoning is pretty good, same with Heidern

what do you hate about their programming?

The excessive use of pointers, the waste of storing values all over the place, hard to follow lines.

how exactly does that effect the people who play the games?

Shut up xes.

If you really don’t know what it does then you’re in the wrong field.

Because a bad programmed game is prone to have more stuff not working as intended.

i want examples and comparisons…

is a 120hz monitor worth getting for fighting games?

NUKI + CVS2 = OMFG!

Thats just common sense. I was specifically talking about the examples he gave… I’m not disagreeing with anyone I’m just asking questions. I actually like the fact that you guys are critiquing my ideas.

More NUKI insanity, lol, dude its CRAAAAAAAAAAZY

I never saw this pic before:

And here’s the article it came from: http://penny-arcade.com/report/article/americas-greatest-esports-champion-is-also-its-greatest-villain

i’d never heard of chris g until I read that article.

Seems like BS to me.

How are you on this website and never heard of Chris G?

Is BS, he is a beast on UMVC3, on the other games he is a good to top player, but he doesn’t dominate like he does on UMVC3
