With the way the tiers work in CVS2 if they can’t do anything against the S tiers then they’re fucked. I think the game has okay balance but not so much the SNK side. When only 4-5 characters (including Geese) are considered good then you have a problem.
And Chang is not one of them.
Kyo, Iori, Hibiki, Mai, Geese, Yamazaki, Todo, Rock, Nakoruru, Rugal, Vice, Kim, Terry, Joe yup all them characters are bad. Yup.
Shut up Louis.
Good thing my favourite characters are Akuma and Iori.
Life is good when you love top tier.
I know how you feel, I’ve been going ham on some KOF XI recently, my team of Terry, Oswald, Tizoc is super fun to play. Game needs more love.
Doesn’t Louis jump every chance he gets and never blocks low? I’d trust his judgement.
For some reason I prefer playing mostly as SNK characters over the Capcom characters.
Thing about CvS2 is that character viability isn’t really dependent on counterpicks thanks to the Groove system adding another layer of depth to the game. It’s not like mid-tiers haven’t seen their share of tournament play:
Say’s SNK characters are legit. Then posts vid that has Capcom characters as anchor.
Characters like Haohmaru and Mai you don’t see often in high-level play. I think you’re kind of missing the point I’m trying to make.
Yup. Top Tier is the only tier that matters. Doesnt mean to only play those established characters, everyone who plays the other character should try to find how to make them top tier themselves.
Louis disagreed with me, meaning he that he doesn’t want me to trust his judgement right.
Honestly I just think you’re a dick-rider.
Question for those of you who’ve played both MvC and Smash bros. Despite the controls being different is it easier to wave dash, dash cancel and tech roll in Smash than it is in MvC? In other words are Smash controls better than MvC controls when it comes to maneuvering characters?
Wavedashing in Smash is hard as fuck, wavedasing in MVC2/3 is easy as hell.
Wavedash in melee is the easiest thing in the universe
Wavedashing in MvC2/3 are VERY difficult
What games have “Dramatic Battle” style modes or other co-op modes?
Street Fighter Alpha 3
I know of that one. Any others? Brainstorming a game idea and want to do some research.
You could say that GG Isuka was done entirely about dramatic battles
Good movement in smash is really difficult. Wave dashing is like a more difficult version of tridashing that you have to do sometimes more often to be effective. Short hopping and some other things take some finnese to be used right too but not as much. Then you add some of the character specific techniques and smash can be pretty execution heavy. There are characters who dont have as much need for difficult movement techniques though
