also, you probrablly noticed that going for that rekka reset into tenshin almost never works on good players

So was cr.MK punishing rekkas even when you spaced them right? Seems annoying. Honestly you should be more aggressive once you get in though. Sakura doesn’t do that well under pressure. I’d say work on hit confirming rekkas, and try to not go for the rekkas > stop > tenshin too much unless you feel like they’re in a REALLY defensive posture. Even then, don’t use it a lot, it’s super gimmicky. Although this guy seemed to want to jump out of rekkas so you could use that to create an opening by doing rekkas, stopping and waiting and see if he jumps. If he does then you get a free flame kick lol. Still, I’d just take the knock down.
Overally the Sakura didn’t do much, he just let you kill yourself with rekkas it seemed like. I’d be less afraid to jump in at mid range. At worst she might tag you with a few hits of her uppercut but who cares? It does like 10 damage and no invincibility frames. You only really need to be careful jumping in at close range.
But yeah overall improve your poke game and your pressure game and you should fair better.

Not sure what order these matches come in or if I’m missing one since the archive seems all out of place, but it seems Mago was knocked out of the tourney before finals even began. I heard this was double elimination, but I don’t see the other match where Mago loses…

This is from Columbus Bar battles 3 this past weekend. Pittsburgh took on Michigan’s team TFA in a 5v5 single elmination. I was on point for Pitt and ended up eliminating three of their members. Just look for the vs ??? in the title it’s probably me playing Fei.
