yo guys is there a way to upload vids saved on replay section onto youtube? I ran a few games with Jav1ts mostly Fei mirrors that i think you guys might like to watch considering he plays Fei very well for someone he doesnt main. A good guide for those of you who want to learn the Fei mirror. The score count was 2-4 Jav1tz.

Thanks to nosone for some pointers, even though most were things that I should know but don’t always apply for some reason or another, mostly because I just flat out forget in mid-match. I would play run-away against his Gief, but I have specific reasons why I don’t. Unfortunately, this kind of gets me into a situation where I play most Giefs the same since I don’t encounter that many. Ah well, 'tis life.
These videos are from a few days ago after work about 4AM. I am mostly surprised at the variety as there wasn’t a single repeat character. I played 12 ranked matches and recorded and uploaded them all. In the last two fights you can see some BNB combos dropped, that’s when I knew it was time to turn the game off and go to bed.

cr.LK = +3 on hit, cl.st.HP has 4 frames of startup, so I think you need a counter for an extra frame?

You do, AFAIK, it’s a frame trap. You can’t see the “counter hit” msg because the camera is zoomed in to far, but you can definitely see DJ pressing buttons trying to get out.

A video about Fei Long’s U2, just wanna show when to use it 
Everyone knows how U2 works and what it can punish. There’s a thread for that.
The problem is that the only way to use it SAFELY, as in: no possible punish, is do it on reaction to something you just saw. And since you usually have to be close, it’s way harder than using Cammy’s U1 against a fireball. Some things are slow, others are fast.
The shit you can punish with U2 is usually fucking fast. And, it’s piss easy to punish Fei Long for his mistakes.
100% of the stuff you show in that video is not aplicable to a real match.
Players will know you have U2 ready… And they will either safe jump you, to bait that shit, or they will simply do an empty jump and throw you. Hondas won’t do random butt splashes, Claws will do Izuna on you if you’re standing, and there is not even one Sagat who would dare use a meaty overhead on a player with Ultra filled up.
Rule number 1: 90% of the time meaties are useless. So, U2 is not useful against meaties since no one will pull that shit off. Unless you’re playing vs scrubs, of course.
Rule number 2: Good ultras are comboable because that makes them safe and sure hits. A bad use for an ultra is one that requires prediction and is highly punishable. That makes it a gamble and can turn a winnable round into a loss.
Rule number 3: Reacting to shit ain’t easy, except in training mode, where you recorded it and you know it’s coming.
Rule number 4: Instead of using U2 you can do an invencible move on wakeup, like… say… EX flame kick? It’s as positive to win against Sagat’s overhead as the ultra. And probably as safe. Why do proper players avoid doing random EXs on wakeup? Because it’s a big risk.
Rule number 5: U2 is a waste of good meter. U1 has shit damage, but at least I can hit confirm it after a flame kick fadc or after a crumple (and Fei Longs get those all the time… considering the gigantic range they have on FA, yummy).

i dont think theres ever a time where theres a counterhit that the msg isn visible, its pretty big. neither of those videos show frame traps, there meaty lk’s on the opponents wakeup that are hitting with the last frame allowing him to link the hp.
Well, not that is was invisible, I was thinking it was a counter hit but the message just wasn’t visible because the camera was zoomed in to one side of the screen. I went into training mode and actually played with it, in does in fact combo off a meaty cr.lk hitting on the last frame. Good stuff.

That taunt is basically a poor man’s coward couch. It’s fun to evade projectiles and FA with that. The only useful taunt in the game, imo.
