Even if they nerfed something, I would so much appreciate a tiny walkspeed buff. Easiest to adapt to that as it’s just a pure advantage.

ive been lobbying for some walk speed since vanilla. they could take the damned chicken wing out if fei could walk like akuma or chun

Why increase the walk speed when Rekkas can punish any whiff already due to the ground it covers in SFIV? Only reason to increase it would be to make moves whiff easier, but Fei Long doesn’t really have any issues with forcing whiffs as it is. What you’re asking is making him more like ST Fei Long but with a half screen whiff punish and corner push. Not really fair.

Decrease the range on Rekkas and a faster walk speed would be ok. But, I don’t see that happening.

Ya it does seem unfair when you say it like that.The reason most people want faster walk speed(including me) is so that it gets easier to chase down charage characters who walk back faster than you can walk forward.Although with the cr.mk buff holding back wont be as annoying.

Lol doesn’t make sense. Can’t complain about not being able to catch a backwards-moving opponent, and then say that a **short-range **normal being cancelable is going to make it better. I don’t really mind if the opponent can walk faster. Just gets them to the corner faster.

Well i’ve said from beginning Fei should have had his walk animation from ST and CW from HD Remix. They could take out cr.mk>special if they gave him those two things also with allowing a combo from an overhead.

I wouldn’t call cr.mk a short range normal and it being canccelable would really discourage holding back while in footsies range.I am talking about holding back through out the match.Holding back when getting pressured i feel is really effective against Fei as his only counter is ex tenshin is risky.

How do you all deal with balrogs who are able to dance around the lp rekka range and do safe rush punches with random bursts of aggression .Even bringing them into the corner dosent seem to help much.

Yeah please Capcom give Fei some more extra tools and nerf all the other good characters… Would be really nice seeing Mago wins with 10-0 every match instead of losing 2 or 3 matches in GG3.

In footsies range, there’s no reason to hold anything but down-back. Fei’s damage potential is 60 at that range and if you’re waiting for the overhead, you can block for a nice -4. If he pokes himself out of range, either with a Rekka, cr.Mk, or cr.HP, then the opponent should hold back. The opponent can still get out of this cr.MK “trap” pretty easily.

After your out of cr.lk range there is no reason not to hold back there is nothing much Fei long can do to stop you(other than cr.mk which does around 70 damage i think) and it resets the situation.

Counter, wtf. Read my post again, then read yours, and don’t forget to brush up on what you said before too.

I’m telling you that there’s no reason to hold back in footsies range because Fei can only do an overhead if you crouch block. You were talking about how cr.MK xx Rekkas is going to solve the walking-back thing… Please re-read.

Ah my mistake i misunderstood your post.Your right it wont really help the walking back thing,I was thinking of cr.mk in terms of shotos cr.mk but didnt account for the fact that you are mostly moving towards the shoto and away from fei.

just a personal thing. when i dabble with chun or some other speed walker, playing footsies just seems so much more natural. it would also help vs the fast walk back charge characters

obviously you can whiff punnish with rekkas, but a single button press is easier and faster. playing footsies is easier for me when i play a character that walks fast

how do you guys feel about the balrog,dudley,ibuki match up now that he can rekka off of low forward

fei can punish a lot harder

balrog: his rush punches
dudley:machine gun blows
ibuki:neck breaker

I dont think Fei long had a problem punishing random moves.

You can focus/nj rush punches. His Rush Punches are -3 on block the lp version so can be punshed if badly spaced. Harder in practice
Ever MGP other then lp is unsafe anyways
Neckbreaker are you serious? Shit does no chipdamage and is -15. You could ultra it on block.
