^ but it’s not even just psychic uppercuts , it’s reckless chicken wings , poorly spaced rekkas , blockstring-crossup-blockstring , chicken wing 50-50 like rpvg2 said and he somehow get’s away with it lol . I wanna see that guy play a first to 10 and see how quickly he gets downloaded or maybe even adapts and plays a little safer . Either that guy is completely Random and stupid or totally Yomi and one step ahead lol i can’t decide .
He is abusing Fei’s good tools because of people’s lack of knowledge about the matchup.
I’ll be honest. After I got SSF4, I did not play a single Fei Long on XBL until I challenged nosone to a FT10.
So it’s a nice strategy, but I doubt it will last forever.
sounds like the guys is trying to really test the “Feel, don’t think” mind set. lol
LOoL that is the perfect way to describe it .

Guys, keep your eyes on this topic. Fei-Long will be in the next Dev Blog.
Take note of the changes made thus far too. Some nice nerfs and a few buffs. I’m liking what I see already :wgrin:
Fei Long is in the next dev blog. I am now proceeding to chew off all my fingernails in fear.
Can’t wait to see what they do for him, already liking what they did for Guy.
A lot of stuff looks dumb in videos and stuff but a lot of what goes on is in players heads. He might look like he’s playing dumb but actually be very good at anticipating the opponent, mind games, etc etc. It’s obviously working for a reason, so I wouldn’t write it off as random. Some matches of myself I’ve watched and playing the match, I felt I was in control and had a reason behind all the decisions I made, but then I watch it later and think “man that looks random as hell”. You never really know what both players are thinking from an outside perspective. The thing with SF4 is that it’s so simple, a lot of times the higher level stuff isn’t apparent like it is in a game like marvel, where skill is visually represented on screen through combos, movement, mix ups, and all that shit. In SSF4, the only indication of skill is that you hit the other guy.
yh Samurai that’s why i said either the dude is dumb and does not give a shit about winning or losing or his brain is operating on some next yomi level where he knows whatever he does will work .
im curious to see what the devs are gonna say about fei.
i had a thought about the whole cr.mk thing, and the less frame advantage on CW rumor.
i think they are going to give cr.mk special cancelability, and either remove CW startup invincibility or make it so that you cant combo after regular CW’s
that cl.mp to RH CW combo is pretty broken if you look at things objectively, and i remember hearing something about it being difficult to keep combos like that from popping up on specific characters. they may just make it so you cant get combos after, and be giving us cr.mk cancels as a trade off
I hope they keep comboability after landing an EX CW at least.
Not to break away from the conversation but I just seen this video and I could not stop laughing. Is this guy just MIND FUCKED because he is fighting Inthul? Or was it the blank stare on Inthuls face that broke this guys confidence? Seriously FIGHT BACK MAN!!!
^ I just don’t think he knew the grounded match up. Pro Fei players seem to be more grounded and pokey, leaving those players with a common idea of ordinary Feis as their own weakness.
Hmmm, i not sure about them completely changing the ability to combo off a CW tho Mike, as of right now there is only 1 regular CW we can combo off of without special circumstances which is RH CW. I can’t see the screwing with the frame data as its already a 1-framer not to mention screwing with this would screw with being able to complete Fei’s Trials and thus screw with acheivements etc… i can’t see capcom going in and also changing the character trials for new combos or combos that won’t work cause of a huge change in frame data, i don’t think capcom is looking to have to patch this after patching it for these type of issues. I got a feeling if anything there maybe a damage reduction on something Fei has. But them fucking with a character that already has limited combos compare to the majority of the cast would be insane on them. We’d be reduce to FK>FADC or BNB combos. Definitly would lose the shitty comeback potiential we already have if we lose such a decent damage dealing combo that is hard to do anyways online consistently.
My bet is that CW will be nerfed to be 100 damage across the board, split as 30-30-40. This would nerf the “death combo” we have on special characters and make CW potshots less rewarding overall. TBH, I wouldn’t mind that kind of nerf if it comes with more game-changing bonuses.
Ideally, I’d like to see CW damage be reversed if the frame advantage/disadvantages aren’t changed, however. Make LK 140, MK the same (110), HK 100. That way, MK> LK CW would be a great tool to use in place of HP> Flame Kick or Rekkas–we could keep the opponent next to us and force a Ken-like 50-50. Would be dangerous stuff in the corner. Of course, then we could keep the death-combo and our Flame Kick juggle damage.
[edit] Eh, not a great combo, but decent.
cant use one frame links and online play as a reason for or against anything tho. at the highest level of play, everyone uses them, and especially if you get huge damage as a payoff
you do bring up a good point about the trials tho
man all this speculating is nerve wrecking. lol i guess it doesn’t matter in the end, imma still fucks with Fei at the end of the day. If they make him do 50 damage on a full 3 hit rekkas or make Fk do 10 damage… i’m still play him…in HD remix. lol
While i do agree that the trials won’t be messed with, i think that things will become alittle bit tougher to land but the frame data on the rh CW is a bit silly, being able to use a potential lead in to the most dmg’ing combo that fei has to offer, and if blocked will lead to a zero disadvantage. I think that lk CW will become more viable, however the ability to “safely” throw out Hk CW will come with some heavier risks. All in all i think this is a great trade off as CW should warrent more risk for the reward, especially if the dmg is kept the same. If the Hk CW dmg is nerfed like Kobra said then things should stay the same. But just like eberyone else this is all just speculation and i can’t wait until this stuff is made public… Also i don’t know if anyone has noticed but these are partial adjustments, the ones that have been finalized, so more nerfs, buffs could have simply not been released, based on capcom has to say. nothing is set in stone until the update has been released but like before super came out all we can do is cross our fingers and hope that we won’t get beat by that nerf stick.

Shoryuken - Street Fighter Pros Share Their Secrets to Winning - Day 7: John Choi
John Choi goes through things like “cross-cutting” which is another term for manual correction for DPs. As I’ve noted before, auto-correction rarely works; manual correction does a better trick. The answer to why you get a DP instead of a CW when you do it slowly is also in here. READ IT.
Why is Fei vs Viper so hard and 6-4 Viper?
Is it because she refuses to play footsies and stay on the ground? Is it because her Burn Kick owns Fei in the air and owns Flame Kick for free? U2 Being baited and owned? is it because she can jump in on Fei virtually for free. Her safe on block completely whiff punishable Thunder Knuckles? Is it because approaching her feels like walking through a mine field? Her stupid nj hk? why is the matchup so hard?
