True about the damage bit, but from the sound of it the twins will be very rush-down oriented as they were in 3S. I guess for that reason, I’m having a tough time imagining them at a lack for damage through any round/match. Just thinking about that safe Mantis Slash makes me cringe. Fei can’t be as aggressive as to pull 2 blocked Rekkas on decent players yet Yang can and will do so happily just to mix you up. Plus a dive kick–jeez.
XBL 3v3s are on again starting on December 2nd. There will be NO duplicate characters on the same team this time, unfortunately. Still I hope you guys can bring a few friends to get a group going. Should be fun!
Welp I adavanced due to a forfiet… I’ll take it! lol wonder how it will pan out in the next bracket
Also I was the other night and was constantly getting hit on my backdash which lead to a knock down. For instance you CW, the oppoenet (ryu/ken/akuma) is hit and you know that they are mashing while being hit, and you try to backdash to bait a DP and without fail they DP, but one of the hits of the DP connects on your backdash knocking you down.
Now in AE fei along with a number of chars are having their backdashes adjusted allowing them to be considered mid-air after the i-frames wear off. So this means that a backdash that is hit after the i-frames wear off means a reset right? Man I hope so… nothing worse then starting to get momentum and something like this happens… sometimes it can be hard to recover from.
so i was playing an adon a few days ago, and found that jumpin hp stuffs like everything adon tries to do, ive had it beat his dp clean, and beat his jag kicks clean, im not 100% sure but it seems like adon is forced to block our jumpin hp.
You can throw (or stuff with normals) Adon’s Rising Jaguar btw for anyone who doesn’t know. Made this match so much easier for me on his wake up recently
Shame his opponents were so… meh. He really is solid though, and I see because he’s on pad he can execute combos into super with a lot more regularity.
Because you only need to wiggle the joystick/d-pad a small amount to get the correct inputs, whilst it’s a larger and slower motion on a stick. In my experience anyway, it’s a heck of a lot easier on pad :0
Arcade Edition has launched! The article links to a Youtube page where clips of the action will be uploaded from Japanese arcades. Hope to see some “tier whore” Fei players :wgrin: Let’s get impressions going once the videos start popping up.
You said China town will have one? If so I will go and record videos for you guys. I don’t think they will have a USB slot for my pad so I will give it my best anyhow. Or I can get one of my fellow DMG players to go nuts. Since I became a member and started to play them daily, my skill level is growing so fast. You cannot make a mistake and I repeat you CANNOT make one mistake against those guys or you will be punished big time. That said they all agree I have great potential and if I keep it up I could be a roster player at some point in 2011.
Im looking to pick up a 2nd main as we already have a Fei on the team. I think I may pick up one of the new characters. I read from you guys that one of them is just like Fei with move sets. Transition shouldn’t be that difficult
