I got a stick I won at a local Gamestop tournament. I just don’t have that comfort level with it plus I hate the clicking sound that comes from the stick and buttons. Time will tell, next guard crush is in 2 weeks and I should have my new pad before then.
I would try to go for a stick that has silent buttons.

Looks like we both simlilar problems, Teasy mod was done in about 2 hrs, considering I didn’t relize you havd to do a firmware flash to the stick… long story short next one I do will take me 15-20 mins tops lol. The big problem that I have is that my custom plexi uses flaged peices of plastic held by screws to space the joystick properly, these screws are smashing into the joystick connector on the madcatz PCB… and I’d rather not warp my madcatz PCB until I figure out some spacers for the plexi. So no tourney for me either… sux, but good thing its a weekly thang!

Hey no sweat guys :lol: I’ll be available starting around 5 (maybe not on XBOX, but available), but we definitely should be on by 7 to get warm-ups in, either on our own or as a team. We can take it to an Endless room or something; but do what you can to prepare in advance.
No pressure at all! Just keep your spirits up and we’ll be fine. We’ll run through strategies and match-ups on Live. If you guys have mics that would really be useful.

BTW, thanks for getting involved and putting this stuff up! These things are what I wanna start doing, enough of me being a total recluse, and only playing one person over and over again.
No prob, I think it’ll be a refreshing change of pace, plus we get to fight some great players.
So the hour is almost upon us… Just FYI to other people who may be interested, signups are still open and UY?G still needs 4 more teams to register for a full 8 team tourney. I don’t know what happens if we don’t get 8… it could end up being a round-robin instead.
So final result brought us to the Loser’s Finals where we lost to the team that kicked us to the Loser’s bracket in the first place. Really the only significant player on their side was x SoSickNashFan x who bodied us playing Chun. I managed to take a set from him in the winner’s bracket, but we ultimately lost that. In the Loser’s bracket I only took one round off the guy. Really strong Chun.
Somewhere in the winner’s bracket I choked due to having girlfriend issues, but overall I think I could be sharper. H1ggin5 backed me up through the whole tourney, Avenger (SusyQThree) played for the winner’s bracket but dropped due to lag (Nemesys_Syndrome offers his apologies to you for that). SendMaster replaced Avenger and held very strong as well.
I think the result was expected, but I was hoping for some miracle that would let us get past the Chun player. I still need to work on my cl.HP link, especially in laggy conditions, and I definitely need to study up the footsie spacing for Chun–I have no idea when and where to launch my normals. I took a few guesses in my match with her, but I need some more solid experience to be consistent with wins.
GGs to H1ggin5, SendMaster, and Avenger on the Fei forums. It was a great run and I hope you guys join in again sometime. Since this was the first 3v3 tourney for XBL, things were a little disorganized. I apologize if it took longer than expected. I think if there is a next time, it’ll be much smoother.
Hey man no worries I had a great time! I’m still bitter about how I lost to that cammy… man i get so impatient some times. Oh well I think I’ve come a long way and still have a long road ahead. But thanks again for the invite, I’d be glad to play again with you, or with anyone that is wanting to get together. Thanks for the complements! You did very well too! No need to apologize about the time stuff, although I was starting to feel it in the last set, these things are out of our control. Thanks again for sharing this info with the board! cya round! I’d like to extend my deepest apologies for the long wait. I, unfortunately made some some last minute changes on something that could’ve had a great outcome and turned it inside out. I extend my deepest apologies towards Avenger. If anything else, I felt the most pain and cringed every second that passed. I’ve ran quite a few tournaments as quite a few people can attest to and have had them run in the smoothest and quickest manner. This is the first time I’ve ever experienced such an outcome for experimenting with a particular layout. Never again. I’ve learned my lesson on this and in the near future, should another tournament be ran, it will most definitely be with the intent of having every player experience the most positive that they can.
Nem, It’s cool man. I think it’s my fault for signing up for Online tournament in Eastern Time zone when I’m in Central. One point I just started messing around cause lag and everyone on stream was saying things lol. Told you guys I was the Dan of the group. I hope you guys have better luck next time.
Oh, and Higgins and Kobra, you guys were pretty awesome. Our endless matches were pretty fun.
