hey guys its been a long time since i’ve posted here, trying to pick the game back up and shake the rust away.
Anyway 2 questions.
I have a little quirk from a cw crossup setup that I want to share, kind of a the more you know thing. anywhere specific I should post it?
and my 2nd question is will fei’s cw arc stay the same in 2012?

Probably the Lab findings thread? The arc is staying the same , they’ve adjusted it so that’s harder to cross up.

That one was a bit vague when I read it last time, unless they’ve said anymore on it I don’t know about.

How do I determine if my meaty will beat their best wakeup option ? Total frames from startup to recovery of my meaty less than the start-up frames of their move ?

i believe they said the arc will be the same, but they are changing the hitboxes so it crosses up less often

Here mago frame traps with a crouch short >> stand strong and trades into ultra. How does that work?

What do you mean? Why would they change it?

nevermind i think my game is glitched because it looks like the kato costume took over the enter the dragon costume’s slot.

Weird. It might be a glitch? What system do you play on?

I know for X-box, you have to download the Alt 1’s from Vanilla on the game extra’s tab and not Super.

At 1:13 Mago goes for cross-up while RF is down but doesn’t change sides, how does that work ?

In AE the left corner is glitchy, meaning what crosses up on the right side corner for the most part wont cross up on the left side. that is probably what happened

so is there a timing to it ? I saw that it seemed to be a safejump even though he jumped twice . When I tried to replicate that I just change sides .

I main Ryu and write most of the max punish against all the cast moves.

I am playing Feilong now and trying to learn his best punish (or practical) vs every move.
Lot of work… but I think its the ‘basic’ to try to master any character.
Should be easy for Fei long since his punish seem limited ( not a big tree option)

Correct, with Fei Long’s jab xx rekka, It’s pretty much the goto counter for most situations. There’s a few character specific things. ohhhhh shit… (flood of thoughts just came into my head)

Someone test the 3 hit HK CW on Rufus after crumple, does it still work?? I can’t get to the game. I hate rufus with his derp messiah and now FADC able tornado (which can catch us on 2nd block rekka for full ultra). Don’t understand that character at all, I’d rather play viper.

If they have taken that away, scratch another one down as a tough match.

There was the thread “Fei Long punisher guide”, but it seems to have been deleted. It’d be outdated anyway now. E.g. HP Blanka balls you can now easily punish just with HP Rekkas. No need to dash -> LP Rekka (still needed against EX and LP balls though).

Just wondering how you guy’s p-link after CW? I usually go for the lp~hp p-link, don’t bother with the mp as I find it messes up my timing with the p-link. Is there also a specific timing to hit hp after a tenshin? I’m having a bit of trouble linking it to cancel in to flame kick or rekkas.
