great video higgin , the tip about feis feet touching the ground first was crucial man thnx . Im on pad so i wont be attempting this link generally but ur vid will help if i do try .
good stuff higgin’s ^^b
Thanks ^^b means a lot coming from all you guys, who am I kidding I’m here to help too
Is there some sort of plink or tips to get the HP after a CW to work ? And does it work with all CW versions ?
Thanks
Thanks Higgins,I had no idea about double plink.
About three posts up there is a video that I did for this very reason, plinking tips and timing help after CW to get a cl.hp, and no it only hits off the hk/ex CW, I think it also is combo-able after a counter hit mk CW but i have never tried.
I know there is a thread on this somewhere and i can’t find it atm, and without ripen on either, what is the lag difference on PS3 to X-box?
thnks Cat
Oh my bad. Just watched and tried, the plink helps alot. Thanks !
It is, but the timimng is different; there’s a bit more recovery at the end of the CW so you have to delay further. Btw, I’ve been having more confidence in this link thanks to your vid; been landing it VERY consistently, even with yellow-bar connections. Only having a little trouble when it comes to getting HP Rekkas instead of EX due to the plink, but I’m sure I’ll get that one down too.
good stuff higg
when i get my new xbox i gotta get my timing down for those p-links
and i probably need to get a new tv cause mine is laggy as hell
Around 2 frames.
Thanks for the demonstration video Higgins, really appreciate it. With this, I feel a little more confident in my execution on it.
a big thanks from me too Can you also share with us the model of that Asus TV?
Has anybody gone into detail on Fei’s super ambiguous corner j.lk crossup?
If you do it right it will look like a crossup but hit on the usual side. If they block the usual side you pass through them and land behind them. The only way to block it correctly is to block normally for the j.lk and then block the other way for the cr.lks. It also beats all versions of Ryu’s shoryu (ex whiffs completely). That shit is free damage.
Sure thing here ya go, they sell these on amazon very cheap paid 180ish for this one 23 inch and they offered free shipping.
ASUS VH236H (these are the ones that are used at EVO), runs at 2ms delay, did guitar hero test on HDMI input and got zero to 5ms delay. So its very accurate with the time delay advertised (GH test isn’t bullet proof), as a for instance was playing on a sony bravia 32LCD with HDMI input was running 28-32ms delay, with comp. input was running 15-23ms delay. The Asus vs the less lag comp input was a HUGE difference (don’t forget that tv + online latency only adds to input delays, input drops)
Also here is a link to amazon to get one.
You can get the same effect using j.MK to stay on the same side of them, and j.MP to cross them up (not sure which way round that is now I think about it, but you probably know about it anyway)… My real point is that they both do more block-stun than j.LK and can keep them in a true block string, which against bigger characters is really important because they can be hit by you, go into blockstun, come out of it and then reversal you whilst you’re still falling. It still can happen with j.MP/MK, but not to the extent of j.LK.
Anyway, you probably know about that side of it anyway, but to answer your question, I’ve never seen a full write-up on j.LK crossups lol.
I use j.LK when I’m not sure which way I’ll land
Would appreciate spacing detail and other information in a write-up if you’re willing to do it Rampage.
This made me laugh because all of my wake-up jumpins are too ambiguous for me to tell; it’s like a nice surprise when I guess it right.
