Why is st.LP --> cr.LP xx Rekka so much easier to perform than cr.LP --> cr.LP xx Rekka and other similar iterations of crouching combos? Is is about the input or something about frame that I don’t know?
I have the same problem. I dont know either.
So is forward + HK much better/useful in SSF4 or is it still not that useful? Seems at the range it’s best at, you might as well just LP rekka. I have been playing alot of DeeJay so I haven’t messed with it much. Thanks in advance.
st.lp gives you +5 while cr.lp gives you +3 on hit.
so st.lp --> cr.lp is a 3 frame link, while cr.lp–>cr.lp is a 1 frame link
Eventhubs has the startup of Fei’s Super as 1+6 frames listed. I thought it was 5 frames?
And what does 1+6 mean (instead of 7)?
john4p: Take a look at the HK and EX CW +frames on hit. I think Eventhubs may have some wires crossed…
I’m not too sure about the frame notation myself.
Yes, +2 is definitely wrong.
Wouldn’t be the first time.
none of the sources for framedata seem to be reliable right now, there all saying something different…
Which flame kick is best for anti air and in combos?
mk for Anti-air (when you don’t have EX)
For combos,
-EX does the most damage
-hk when you don’t have meter (and are close to the opponent so the 2nd hit won’t whiff)
-mk for FADC
in combos, the HK and EX flame kicks are the best versions to use, unless you are FADC’ing like the post above me says (then you would use mk version.) in combos, it’s kind of spacing dependent, you have to be kind of close for all the hits of the hk and ex version to connect. If you are at a distance were all hits wont connect (takes practice to gauge this) just use fierce rekkas instead.
^ whats wrong with +2 on EX CW?.. they did give us more hit in ssf4 right?
^ HK and EX CW both gave +4 on hit in SF4. That hasn’t changed in SSF4. So +2 (as listed on Eventhubs) is wrong for those.
boxer’s EX headbut
my friend told me that for fei’s cw->lp rekka combo, boxer’s ex headbutt can break thru it even if u hit the links correctly, and that the only way to guarantee it is to use the st HP rekka combo. Is this true?
If you can interrupt it, then it’s not a combo anymore is it?
To be more specific, only hk and ex cw can combo into bnb.
Not true if you use HK CW or EX CW. The +4 advantage on those moves means that Boxer CANNOT move for those 4 frames and is vulnerable to anything (except throws). LP and cr.LP are both 3-frame moves… You do the math.
How many frames is the HP. I know cw has +4 on hit and it seems linking lp to bnb is so much easier to do it than HP, but linking HP after cw is possible. I can get it 40% of the time in a match. But I seem to get CW to lp link into BnB like almost 100%. In your people’s opinion, is it worth to constantly try the HP in the link or just stick with the lp? i know HP does a lot more damage. Is the risk worth the reward? cause once they block the HP xx to rekka i am to get punished.
It’s a 1-frame link to HP, so learn Plinking. Or better yet, save that for offline; it can be tough to hit 1-framers in general when the connection throws you off. The cr.LP or BnB is easy offline or on though.

Any ideas against Chun Li? Had a hard time against one earlier?
