on block you could always do j.rh, s.lp xx normal command grab
just to be sure saving an ex stock
anyway nice and interesting find on the hit j.rh ex command grab i didn’t know that would work

all i need to do now is get the Hk CW to st.fp all in 1 go, since the timing is somewhat hard once i get that down my flame kick fadcs HK CW ultra would be complete XD!
Random thought
I wish Ex rekka had armor property.
true dat it doesn’t seem any of his EX moves have anything in the way of armor as I have been kicked out of all of them
the armor is your timing -_-
can someone link me to fei long’s normals attributes and properties? i thought it would be in the first post, but its just his specials.
Guys I’ve been praticing doing cr. LK, st. LK, cr. LP, into Rekka ken. It’s somewhat harder to do than the regular bnb combo b/c it doesn’t grant you the frame advantage of st. LP but atleast the st. LK won’t whiff over some characters.
cr.LK> cr.LP> cr.LP> Rekkas out of the question? You get the same frame advantage. Also, cr.LK> cr.LK> cr.LP> Rekkas.
Yeah but the timing is so strict when you do cr. LP twice into Rekkaken for some reason. When you alternate between standing and crouching basics, timing is easier for some reason…atleast for me. Wonder why hmmm…
Also I thought st. LK was 0 on block and +3 on hit? That’s basically the same thing as cr. LP but linking into the cr. LP > Rekkaken is easier IMO if you use st. LK instead of doing another cr. LP.
Also, how do you guys practice the timing for st. Fierce > rekkas or flame kick after Tenshin? I put the CPU on autoblock and I landed it pretty easily in training so I thought I had the timing down but man, I found out the hardway that the CPU actually does a poor job at supposedly “auto” blocking when I went and tried it on players in championship mode lol…missed St. Fierce just about everytime and got punished badly for it. DOH! My brothers and cousins are too lazy to train with me so I’m just kinda stuck in a rut. =(
put it on all block. if your combo hits after the tenshin, you timed it right. if he blocks, you were off
Hi Guys,
I’m a little confuse with his Focus Attack, I did mine and Ryu did his High Shoryuken (not Ex) and it breaks my focus attack (I am still holding it, its not like i let go of it and it is not fully charged yet) any idea why? it happened a few times to me.
And his Chicken Wing movement is too hard to do, but i found a little trick that you actually need to press the kick button after you finished the Forward Jump movement, if you press them at the same time it doesn’t do the move but will do a forward kick (which is annoying) i still think they should keep like Ryu’s Shoryuken and I also wish that his crouching Medium Kick can be cancelled into his special moves, its kinda silly that you can cancel his crouching medium into super but not into Rekka’s or other moves.
Another question is does his ex Rekka cancel out Ryu’s super/ultra? or just regular fireball?

**Ryu breaking your focus with a srk would probably be because it was a reversal
**

**The forward hk move would only come out if you actually input it that way so just practice your execution **

could you rephrase this question I don’t fully understand
I think he’s asking will the ex rekka absorb ryus super/ultra. If you time it right you can absorb hadoken with ex rekka and catch him during recovery with the 2nd rekka. My guess would be no, it doesn’t cancel out his super/ultra but i ve never tried it.
No it doesn’t. I’ve tried a few times in the training room. The Super is multi hitting. The EX rekka only absorbs one.
He’s probably thinking something along the lines of say like…one of Captain America’s supers in MVC versus Ryu’s hadoken super. The one where Cap puts his shield in front of him and charges forward.
fuck the non ex flamekick. not even getting it to trade any more. it loses so often, and to so many different jump ins that im thinking of completely removing it from my game
HNIC Mike,
Try using the Non-EX Flamekick as a blockstring breaker instead? I mean, you’re already in block anyways right? Just a suggestion, I guess.
yeah, it works for that still, and for a safe dp when cancelled. but i was talking more along the lines of as an AA
Aah…yah…umm…I don’t really use it as an anti air unless the jump arc is just right. Ex. Ryu’s jump hk (where his outreached foot is right at Fei’s chest). Fei’s torched up knee at times lands seriously meaty right there.
And it works more than awesome against Zangief. lol.
You get that gut feeling when you know when it’s going to land. I usually end up doing the motion but get a gut feeling whether to press the kick button or not.
i been getting stuffed on shit that was normally money. lazy underhand lob jump ins from half screen away. yuck
Umm…chew on a Snickers bar?
