Fei Long Combos and Glitches

and he does it with real meter too. link timing is crazy on that one because you have to hit those in order to build the meter back to do both of those comboes.

Maybe this has already been discussed somewhere, but I noticed the other day that stranding strong does a crazy amount of hit stun (even more then fiece actually). This is why you can combo the ex chicken wing from stand strong (on some characters) and not combo it from stand fierce. With this in mind, you can use standing strong to set up different combo options. Of course you can link low jab off of it, but I found you can actually connect:

stand strong punch, fadc, stand fiercexxspecial.

Not entirely useful, but kind of cool. Stand strong is the only move you can use to do this because of it’s weird hit stun properties, no other move behaves like it-

That combo was amazing…ly impractical but awesome.

I did learn one thing new and I thought I knew everything about Fei. st.lp cl.MP combos? That’s great…gonna start using it in my game.

It’s gonna make st.LP Tenshin way more threatening and even if they block it you have frame advantage. Why has no one talked about this?

Hey guys, I’m wondering if you know a solution to do over 700 damage on seth for Sonichurricane combo challenge 6?The best i came up with is 687 as can be seen here [media=youtube]Sztswm-A6u0[/media] .I tried doing HK chicken wing instead of ex DP, but the problem is that it stuns him before the last hit, so it’s actually less damage.I think we can do it.I really feel it’s doable.
If you find a solution or improvement for that combo or any suggestion shout it out!!Do it for Bruce Lee!!

Yes, this is good. Is also great for setting up his kara throw and CH situations if the first two hits are blocked

Just learn the timing, no real tricks other than the usual input stuff that helps with linking (plinking, double tapping). It’s definitely not easy, but if you plink the fierce with strong or jab it makes it a million times more consistent.

Wondering if CW -> close :lp: -> close :hp: is character or space dependent. Also, what button is used for Fei’s kara throw?

Just character-dependent? There are times when I can do EX CW -> close :lp: -> close :hp: -> Rekka on a char (say, Ryu), then get close :lp: -> far :hp: when I try any other CW. I was thinking that EX CW leaves you closer to the opponent.

Depends on your spacing actually. You can get right up into someone’s face with RH CW too. If you note the distance that RH goes and EX goes, you’ll notice that EX has a significantly longer range, so it’s easier to get in with it.

I’ve figured out how to do the cl.hp x EX CW loop on Sagat briefly shown in some niconico video. It’s simple but extremely diffucult to do. What you’ve gotta do is delay the cl.hp cancel into EX CW. The timing is really tight, possibly a 1 frame thing and during the 15 minutes I tried this I couldn’t pull off more than 2 repititions in a row (my best combo was EX CW 2 hits, cl.hp x EX CW, cl.hp x EX CW).
Because cl.hp makes the opponent stand on hit this could be used as a extremely flashy anti throw tech option and do that into another cl.hp x EX CW then cl.hp rekka rekka tenshin cl.hp flame kick stun and you’ve pretty much instant killed Sagat.

I also learned that for characters that st. HP > HK Flame kick/EX Flame kick don’t fully connect on such as Sagat, Akuma, Cammy, or characters with weird hitboxes, you should use st. close MP instead of st. close HP to make the HK/EX flamekick FULLY connect. I think Rose is the exception though…

Does anyone know why I can get c.lp xx flame kick to work, but chaining in a c.lk before the c.lp causes the cancel to not work?
