Ok I think I’m done here…
-Autopilot option selects.
Fuckin’…Okay, fine. If you think that something is a comeback mechanic, it’s probably because it’s bad. Just try not to think about whatever stupid comeback mechanic your favorite fighter almost certainly has.
and yet not of that stuff has been a real problem on any game outside sf4 (and that its debatable)
ah build strategy around it?
if you are going to use my quote box you need to make sure its accurate to what i said. but yes, i am defending it because it has purpose. do you go to a martial arts instructor and ask why you cant train in front of a grand audience of spectators? no… or how bout a silk Gee? why? because its not necessary. you train with whats needed, not whats unnecessary. i just think if somebody doesnt want the grids they are missing out on the benefits of them. i think if you dont use the grids you could probably stand to improve your game a bit by playing around with them. they are useful. so yeah. i guess i do defend their use of locking it in for training. id rather look at that in a training video than be struggling to read command inputs or see what the characters were doing because the background didnt contrast well with what i was trying to see… but that could just be me.
Female characters having manfeet/manhands/manface
Gems. Kappa
The characters talking so much in BB is actually a pretty useful audio cue if you know what to listen for.
For instance, Makoto will say “weaksauce” after instant-blocking, as opposed to her normal blocking grunts, and she’ll say different things after combos to give a general idea of how much damage you’ve done in the combo. If she combos Hazama for 2k she’ll say “That was for Noel”. Hit him with a 5k combo, and she’ll say
"And that was for ME!"
Fuck, I hate tripping.
Random tripping.
Having to grind to unlock characters. Beating arcade mode a couple of times is one thing, but it shouldn’t take forever and a half to unlock people. The more time I have to spend grinding, the less time I have to experiment.
I dunno, Garou had it and it was a pretty awesome game nonetheless.
Its a huge and annoying problem in BBBR
i think tht the real problem is not how much they talk, but that they interrupt what they were saying to say it again, more noticeble when blocking or being hit
and that its more about how the mechanic its implemented, and not the mechanic itself
again, they have never been a problem in almost all the games that sport them
Interrupting speach makes my ears bleed. I Got I got LETS GO TAKE THAT, I am gonna I am gonna HYAAAAAA, I Got I got <random super> (This is not actual speech from BB Btw)
The ability to take timer off outside of practice mode.
Yeah, true. >_>
(But that’s what makes FRK Bang so hilarious. ^_^)
ROFL who got manface? ill give you that, almost all the chars got some clodhopper ass feet… especially Ibuki and Makoto, and a lot of people complain on Makotos face but shes supposed to be a kid lol So is Ibuki i think. As well as Sakura. Juri, Chun Li, and Cammy definitely dont got no manliness goin on tho lol
Do you understand the point of this thread? This where we discuss things we don’t want to see in fighting games.
Of course I know that development costs money. In fact, I’m so concerned about companies spending too much money on development that I think they shouldn’t test their games at all since it costs so much in terms of time and resources. /sarcasm
I don’t see the point of your response. Why discuss anything we don’t like then?
Are you aware of the exact issue I’m talking about here? The example I gave is due to the input system being too lenient and hence getting in the way of the player. This isn’t even on the level of trying to walk forward and fireball and then getting a DP, which is something we’ve had to deal with since SFII.
Again, do you understand what this thread is about? I mean, going by your responses it’s like you are of the mind that we shouldn’t complain about stuff that we don’t like in video games. Sure, if I don’t like something in a game I can just choose not to play it, but that’s not the point at all.
lmao what
basically what the OP said
