Of the characters introduced for SF4, SSF4 and AE, which is your favourite? In terms of design, personality, story, gameplay… the whole package.
Personally I really like Able’s design and he has a bitching ass theme tune too but his gameplay is not necessarily the most interesting though, don’t get me wrong, I have watched some very exciting Abel matches.
Same goes for El Fuerte really. Fucking love his character, story and design and he can also be a whole mess of fun to play as too.
Viper and Juri are the most interesting to watch. I voted juri, but I could have gone either way. Kinda wish i did vote viper since she has no votes as of now
Hakan. Love his theme, design, story, moveset. I love watching good Hakan’s work, and have tried pretty hard to play him, but I am not able to remember all the setups that make him strong, and am bad at krisco-ing and parrying.
Well I actually enjoy playing Viper, but playing against her is obviously HURRDURRGUESSWHICHWAYTOBLOCK. Design wise i like her the most aswell. Cool character, even if she’s very guess game oriented.
I like Juri and Hakan. Gouken could stand to be a bit less of a musclebound hulk, but otherwise nice. Oni’s a one-shot but an enjoyable one.
Dislike Rufus
Seth and Viper I heavily dislike, just such irritating POSes.
Fuerte takes the cake, though. Ignores the basics, is just horrid to play against and watch. Basically just sucks the fun out of the game. The few times I’ve played vs. Elf have without exception been the worst games of SF I have ever played, and I’ve been on the receiving end of some horrendous blowups with no hope or clue what to do. And then there’s the skid noises.
Hakan: funny story, boisterous personality, very original gameplay and moves, the most outrageous and exilarating Ultras in the game, a real family man and a smoking hot wife! What more do you want?
Juri: sexy as hell, black widow personality, mixed up gamestyle that doesn’t suck. Her only flaw? Standing stance… seriously capcom i know she use taekwondo but that permanently lifted leg is sooo wrong…
Gouken is good too but he have an enormous flaw (not that it could be avoided really): another SHOTO!
My vote is for Abel. Like his design and from watching alot of Abel matches I like his playstyle. That rambo looking alt costume is one of my favorites in the game.
Juri i was initially interested in when i heard they were finally going to be taekwondo character then i see her in the trailer spinning around like an idiot with her ex pinwheel made her look dumb, Juri i wish they gave her better looking move set then i would have liked her lol, tbh alot of the characters fighting style like seeing abel roll around after a knockdown looks hilariously stupid.
Abel, hands down. Just an awesome character. Cool looking, and a great style. He is a grappler, but not exactly, has good mobility, great mix ups, the step kick, great moves…simply awesome.
I hate Seth, Rufus and Viper. One of the few characters in the game I dislike. Viper is just a femme fatale, nothing interesting about her. And her playstyle…don’t get me started. Seth - ugly design, and his style is a combination of other’s moves. Not funny. Rufus - simply ridicuolus. And his style - divekick, divekick, kick-ultra.
Oni is ok. Another shoto, a combo of Akuma and Ryu (as we don’t have enough of them), but he’s kinda cool. And fun to watch.
Juri…interesting. Interesting character and style.
Elf - I actually like him. Really funny, and a funny style too. Sure, he is randomness incarnate, but as long he has bad damage it’s ok.
Gouken - fun character. Hakan - Great one. Too bad he is difficult to play.
Evil Ryu may have existed in the Alpha series but the SF4 version is more or less a rand new character in terms of design and gameplay and he’s my favorite over any of these characters.
