Im loyal to low tier (bottom tiers) with few exceptions.
Honest question: why?
When a game is new I’ll initially be loyal to a character until the tier list is sorted out. Then I adjust my main team/char. For some reason, I don’t like the way most top tiers play in many games, but my character choice usually lands in the lower top or high mid-tier. I’ll still use my original chars, but only in casuals.
characters i think look cool
I screw around with Everyone in Blazblue. That game is too fun to restrict yourself to 1 character.
In AE, I was instantly attracted to Fei Long, Not for his Tier, But because I’m a Bruce Lee Fan.
Character? Nah. Playstyle? Yes.
Almost every character I main in every game is a fast, big damage character that can rushdown well and keepaway when the situation presents itself. Usually with low health or very little defensive options. Or both.
Chun li, Bridget,and Seung Mina
nobody chooses Ryu or Ken because half the world uses him, but lots of people who don’t pick shotos like to try to guilt people into not picking them as well
I only really play 3s, but when I play a2, cvs2, SF4, I always pick Gouki. It must be the inner mexican in me.
I liked V Akiha in MBAC, and if I picked the game back up I’d still play her.
I don’t have character loyalty like Cammy players do (they change her completely on AE and they keep playing her), but I keep using Fei Long because he always fit my style the best.
I suck at 3rd Strike, but used mostly Dudley.
I play as Cammy in every game she’s in, except in A3, where Juni exists.
<3 Juni. >_>
i useta use Guile. that was my main when i first started playing SF. up until i realized i could never beat a less skilled player that were using Ryu/Ken. Guile was stronger than the rest of the cast, except for Ryu or Ken. then someone figured out Dhalsim was strongest of all.
but because of that i switched to Ryu…coz i got tired of losing so many quarters with Guile.
and Ryu was beastly in that version of SF2 that let you play as bosses…but before feng long and dee jay. whatever edition that edition was called.
after that edition, Ryu has sucked ever since.
So now my bnb is Ken.
because I I have fun with them.
Dan the man, all day every day.
In Alpha 2 and SFIV, hes not a bad character. I’ll prove it.
I suck at 3rd Strike so I ussually just pick Gill lol
I like to challenge myself, not as in picking lowtier but characters with difficult execution or a completely new playstyle. 3s/SF4 I’ve mostly been using shotos.
When OE dropped I learned Urien from scratch, TTH and charge partitioning makes it interesting…
