The father may have pulled the trigger, but he was just doing what anyone would do in that situation, the daughters the one who really killed that boy by lying like that.

Just admit the only reason people are up in arms is because of hindsight. If this was actually a burglar and was actually reaching for a weapon, EVERYBODY would commend the dad. In that quick moment he had to decide if the unknown dude is going to harm his family when the teen made that movement, the dad chose to be safe and defend his family.
Like I said before, I dislike guns. I think it’s dumb of the other stories we heard about “defending yourself” where they put themselves in danger, or the man who shot a dude for walking up to his front door (There’s a door for a reason - so people can knock on it). But a stranger in the actual house? And having an argument with a person who has a gun? All kinds of stupid in the whole scenario. I blame other people before blaming the dad.
The more you have of something, the less valuable individual units of it become. And yeah…fuck guns…as if the gun decided to take this dude out. You expect an overweight old man with heart problems to wrestle and subdue a dude damn near in his prime? Gitouttahere. If that dude valued his own life, he would have stayed stock-fuckin’-still with a gun on him, and announced EVERY damn move he was going to make so as not to alarm the homeowner further and avoid getting shot.

Yea, hindsight is always 20/20 but this was clearly not a situation where a life should have been took. You called the cops and have him at gunpoint. That is 10-0 matchup. The dad just was mad his daughter was about to get grandslammed and choose to end the kids life. Period.
Also you should be able to tell when your kid is lying. A kid roughly the same age as her, knows where she lives, where her room is…and under her bed…yet she doesn’t know him?? Riiight
