Zar: with Bazett i belive with her rune cancel you dont actually input 22 a or b … you do something like this 236a, then you hit a or b right as she punches which goes into to rune power ups( i kinda mash a or b 2x cuz im lame) the same thing goes for 623a as soon as you see her feet hit the floor hit a or b … hope that helps you too AYA !!! :slight_smile:

It actually depends.
Certain moves have one button cancels (actually they are links) that let her rune activate immediately after.
The neutral manual input is 22A or 22B.
Also all moves that don’t get the one button cancels can be cancelled with 22A or 22B, but I think it’s slower.

As long as we’re still on the subject on E-Penis/Stay Hard, Kirei belong to the Burial Church like Ciel.
Ciel being animu Wolverine with even more emotional scars (possessed raping, possessed deaths, possessed genocide, deaths while not possessed, deaths as a agent, deaths as a guinea pig, deaths as a vampire, did I mention until the end of the first game, she couldn’t die?) makes her more powerful.

having trouble with gils forward C into DP B in sword mode. dont tell me it’s another tk thing? i find that odd because you cancel into other moves from forward C except dp.
If it is a tk thing how the fuck do i tk a DP? seems next to impossible to me

Overall, Ea mode is pretty bad so you should probably think of doing combos to switch into Gates. I’ve only really bothered learning like one Ea combo

Yeah, I’m convinced now that it’s just timing a proper A or B on specific frames of the 236A, 623A, and weaving>A moves rather than 22A/B. At first I was reflexively doing 22 for the canceling in these said moves but there were other times where the runes would activate randomly usu. due to me double tapping a button. But now I just strum for the just frame cancels.

The special cancel also applies to her parry (eg 236A>C). Whoever updates the Gazzet Friggin McRemix pg please add this info.

Manual cancel is still applicable for normals in (guard) strings but from my experimenting, Bazzet doesnt gain enough +f to combo into anything off her normals unless it’s CH. My guess is that it can be useful for gimmicky pressure strings to throw the opponent off balance from time to time.

Kirei is good as hell. Pretty much everyone is good in this game besides like Dark Sakura or Assassin

Ive been playing this game forawhile now but ill finally be able to play here at my house in a few days and really get into p mode. I was thinking about starting saber but based on what you guys have experienced including the guys that live overseas. Whos a great offensive character that can keep pressure not overly cheap with a decent variety of mixups. Name 3 and then tell me why if you would be so kind :bgrin:

The watermelon cancel works! Just hold 9 as the move comes out and do whatever you have to after the move! I can do Saber’s loop! Yes! Example: 623+A(as the animation of the uppercut sword swing comes out, hold 9!) then as you hit, do 236+A->236+A, then 623+A(hold 9 again until the animation of the uppercut sword swing comes out!). However, you still need to be fast to cancel. Great stuff! devildigimon!

How do you manage to start the loop after doing the j.a j.c? I know for whatever reason I couldn’t connect 623a at all after j.C even using a short jump

No, I use (hold 2 while doing): j.A, -> j.B -> j.C (jumping C actually gives you a lift, time it and try it out). The 623(9)+A works, but like I said, be fast or be sorry. Man, my thumb hurts on a PS2 pad :sad:

Oh by the way, if you can’t get the combo loop down pat first, try watermelon cancel on the ground. You should be able to get it.

TK the 623a; timing is a bit tight.

Anyone have ideas for Leysritt? If the wiki combo* is the best she’s got, that’s pretty disappointing. On the other hand, her 5c, 236c, and 623c all seem to have ridiculous superarmor.

EDIT: I do know about her DP loop**. It’s still not particularly damaging though, and she doesn’t seem to have anything that doesn’t require lots of meter.
