yeah, Dark Sakura IS pretty damn sexy especially in terms of character mechanics. I started messing with her in practice again and the switch from bazzet is imminent. I honestly don’t care which of the two are better because in the end I tend to fall back on the tech-heavy characters and right now Sakura is very mentally stimulating.
And HOLY FUCK that double jump technique I mentioned a few posts back is more dangerous than I thought. A the lowest possible input even djC is nearly impossible to react to. She even has the option still to combo off a djC on landing. Whats worse is the djB variation because it comes out even faster! But unfortunately she can’t combo from it as with the djC. Instead you’d have to couple in blood pools, open them up then combo from that. 214A and a djB seems to be really effective because your able to confirm the djB hit and release the 214A on reaction.

I’m not doubting anything that Arcadia magazine published. I just wanted some clarification as to why Rin is top tier, which you and several others have provided. Before I started playing, I only know about matchups and tiers through videos I’ve seen, which usually included Gil/Saber/Caster/Lancer/Archer beasting on everyone else in the cast, save Kubo’s Kirei (but then I noticed a couple days ago he played the same 6 characters over and over). That’s how I came to my conclusion. I’m still learning the game, which is why I asked the question, then I gave my opinion. Ignorance should be educated, not attacked.

Any tips on how to continue Saber’s OTG loop after her 236236A in the corner? I find myself crossuping my opponent far too much when hitting with jB. It’s starting to annoy me. I’m thinking about taking out the uppercut just to avoid the crossups from happening. :annoy:

236b gem is a really good combo ender. i dont think they can tech
roll it at all so i can get some free godlike oki, is this the only
untechable move she has?
If you’re a cheap bastard like me you can save a gem with a 623A>228C>646B~B (flame punch finisher) for another untechable option. It’s really good if you end it by the wall (which is standard for Rin anyway) because you get to set up a meaty wind gem (214A) and then go for the fast fall jump hi/low from there (ff>jB or ff>land>2a)
p.s. use the TRAINING OPTIONS to test untechables and whatnot (air & ground passive NORMAL). Recording mode (see button config) is good for testing setups too.

…Is it me or is it just ridiculously hard to tk shit outside of a combo? I’m trying for tk blood pit after sakura’s exploding seed bnb (for improved recovery leading to setups) and the jump canceling feature hinders my exe on it.

then 2147[a]>282b>-a- for crossup teleport into menstrual blood upper followed by pms combo. problem is, I keep getting randomness for the tk command and my oki is pretty much moot from there =/.

Check the english wiki it’s the last combo on her page. All you need is 30% for the 214C and you’re good to go. Got 100something hits when I was messing with it but of course the damage is ass after some point and you have to consider the opponent being able to activate after generating all that meter…You /could/ screw them over if you’re in that overdrive, lvl3 activation mode thingy- since she drains mana for damage.

yeah, record mode is pretty beast. 15secs of record and playback gave me enough time to do a full bnb with guaranteed, untechable knockdown and oki (which I must say was retarded to block).
Also I think mb spoiled me cus the buffering in this game feels like shit. As in too short. TK outside of combos are really annoying to exe consistently. I do 2167(jump occurs), hit A after a slight pause and get j7a due to the command being dropped so damn early. Yarrrg
