If you see jobs looking for 5+ years experience, if you got 3+ years, really know your shit, and have competent references in high places, you can still make it work.
By really know your shit, I’m not talking about some dumbass who just got a degree out of university and thinks he knows everything.
Not gonna bother with that at this stage in my life, I graduated from college debt free, and unless a masters would be an absolute guarantee at securing my future (which it wont) I’m not even going to entertain the thought
The job market here wants young people who got fucked in the ass for years doing unpaid internships
The only people I’ve ever seen argue that people being able to work a decent job that pays them a good wage, while getting access to affordable healthcare, is somehow socialism, is Americans.
Have you heard the saying “In order to run, you have to start learning to walk, in order to walk, you have to start learning how to crawl” Even though, employees of Fast Food business is the lowest denominator in the work force, the business ethics are almost universal to everyone but the top percent. From factory work, to working in a cubical, everyone is getting shafted in one way or the other. Both my parents are going to retire soon, both do completely different lines of work, and even though they aren’t doing too bad, they are telling me over the recent years it was gotten ridiculous on the amount of work that gets put on them, and with little incentive to balance it out. When I was working in the automotive industry, I saw what my parents were telling me first hand, and I got burned out fast.
Maybe there are exceptions, maybe you do know people that aren’t having to take vacation just to catch up on work, or being forced to do over time all the time, and you know these people are getting taken care of financially because they are getting well deserved bonuses and raises. But I guarantee they don’t represent the majority of people that are struggling because the business practices are treating them like fucking robots.
Nah, the market wants young kids straight out of college who are willing to work part time with no benefits and reduced hours so they can bypass Obamacare.
I don’t understand, minimum wage hasn’t kept up with the cost of living since the early 90s, and we’re against letting it do so? 15 bucks an hour is retarded for sure, but 7.25? Fuck that noise.
9-10 bucks is fine but too many crab ass dudes in the bucket that we call the United States imo.
Also I like how the whole thing became just FAST FOOD, when there are like a bijillion other jobs that pay that same shit and involve actually being in harms way. But I guess you can’t pay them more because gas and such…
Lol at people blaming obama for corporations are doing to them too. Had some old white guy tell me some shit like “Well if it wasn’t for him blah blah blah!” And I was like, “but does he own any shares in this company?”
Being that I only joined SRK a couple years ago and was a lurker of dustloop before that; I thought Rcaido’s asian wife was a long-time running srk gag.
Then for shits and giggles, I googled “Rcaido’s asian Wife”. Holy shit she exists!
What incentive is there for the government to fix inequality?
If the government gave all of you enough money from the rich nobody would bother working. Hamburgers would cost 100 dollars because everyone else with a million dollars can’t be bothered to work for a measly 10/hr. Productivity would grind to a complete halt, it would be a disaster.
The government has you people exactly where they need you. They convinced most of you to shackle yourself up with student loan debt which gives you a reason to leave your parents’ house and find work, no matter how terrible. Having a BS in something is meaningless when everyone else can go to college thanks to the government giving out loans to everyone, even the mentally handicapped. That explains how entry level jobs routinely want 5+ years experience and why people with degrees are working dead end jobs trying to repay their loans. This is called indentured servitude. Look it up.
Unless every state starts looking like Detroit and people are killing each other in the street like in Mad Max I don’t see any reason for the government to change things. They have you exactly where they want you. And if you think for second that the gen Y’s and the Millennial’s are going to step up to the plate when it’s their turn to rule you are in for a rude awakening.
