dammit! i can only buy it for 180 now…no thanks…le sigh.
Looks like Canada-cup.ca and Canadian Joysticks are sold out of TEs for XBOX 360. Anyone know of anywhere else to get a TE for 360 in Canada?
Don’t right out the Canadian ex-pats living in Hawaii for parts
Paradise Arcade Shop- Arcade Parts for Coin-op Video Amusement Machines - Paradise Arcade Shop
Has anyone ordered from Canada Cup recently? I put in an order last weekend and haven’t heard from them since.
Amazon.ca has PS3 TEs back in stock
Just wanted to throw in a heads-up for our store, GroovyGameGear. We have quite a few parts for folks building their own panels, and are always adding more. Being in NY, a lot of our customers are in the “great white north”. We usually do quite well on the shipping costs and our parts are very reasonable.
I paid no customs at Lizardlick for my ChIMP. Also Chad has never mentioned anyone needing to pay them either.
I used the cheapest shipping, still very quick (roughly under 2 weeks or 10 business days).
i had to pay customs fees when i placed a 140 dollar order from lizardlick. I had to pay about 23 bucks.
WTF!!! I BOUGHT my monitor from them on the 23rd of april for $169
This cheeses me. more than magneto’s Gravity CHEESE!
I placed a $300 order in march and no custom fees… its really random
Which shipping method did you both use?
I’ve used both, but for the large order I used expidited (2nd most expensive) and also paid for insurance. ALWAYS PAY FOR INSURANCE regardless of what shipping method you use. You will receive a tracking number (you can’t track the package though) when you do. I think it also depends what the estimated value of the arcade parts LL puts on the shipping label.
in otherwords, its a crap shoot thanks to Canada Post.
Added PS3 TE Rd 2 at amazon.ca and Qanba sticks at Canadian Joysticks
You should probably add that the gameshark store ships to canada now. As does theCapcom store. As does this place (cheapest overall when I was looking). I haven’t ordered from any of these places, so i can’t endorse them but they say they ship to Canada. Also the gameshark store is having a 20% off sale for Canadian orders using the code canada11.
the cheapest one
Guess LL is random then. Given the service I’d be willing to gamble again though.
I guess if you don’t have a huge order that takes a massive box to fit Canada Customs will turn a blind eye. Or not.
Heh.
ANYTHING shipped from outside of Canada will take a long time. I’ve had super fast and super slow shipping from the same companies like LL Aki and etokki. It really is just Canada Post.
Dont forget that Canada Post may be going on strike next week. leaving only UPS as your only option
i’ve always found that canada post is faster than usps in terms of shipping. When i’ve traded with people on trading outlet, we ship out at about the same time but it takes at least a week longer to reach me than it does them. UPS is the worst option in my opinion, they ALWAYS charge brokerage AND duty. i had to pay 52 dollars to receive a TE that came in from the states…i hate UPS so much…
lol.
So did I, and it does suck.
Gameshark Store ships to Canada?
The biggest thing that mars Canadian stores is shipping. There isn’t a nice and fairly quick shipping option in Canada that doesn’t just absolutely ream you up the rear with a bottle of Tabasco sauce. Even with CanadianJoysticks, LizardLick is still the better due to weak USD currency, cheap shipping and no tax.
As for sticks, keep an eye on Gamestop.com’s promo codes. I got my BBCS TE for $140 from two promo codes. One gave me $20 bucks off if I bought anything new over $100 and the other bumped my shipping to priority international.
The Playdium Store has that good deal going on but since they’re more of an arcade parts shop first, stick parts shop second, they lack a few options.
has anyone tried them before?
