FAQ: Buying Arcade Sticks & Parts in Canada

made in japan so 15 %

ya still wearing my daigo shirt lol

they ship to montreal but the last time i contact them, they told me
out of stock. Honestly, I dont really like to send that much money on some website without paypal or something more secure…

I thought that since it was spare parts that they’d have no customs fees

BTW, thanks for the links, my TE Round 1 just arrived an hour ago, and I ordered it tuesday night! Props to canadianjoysticks.com

Hi everyone!

Jackson here from Canadian Joysticks. Thank you guys for the support! It’s great to help out fellow Canadians level up.

While I’m at it, we have a facebook page you can follow. We post promos and upcoming events that we’re sponsoring there. Right now we’re doing 10% off all Seimitsu parts and a pre-order special on the new Qanba Q4 RAF sticks.

Hey JMro, add this one there, ebgames.ca had this online exclusive, Marvel VS Capcom 3 Tournament Edition Fight Stick (Online Exclusive for Canada) XB360 for Xbox 360 | GameStop

I didn’t know about it, and now I’m kind of regretting my hasty purchase of the round 1, sigh… but yeah, I hope someone finds this helpful. They sold out on the Ps3 Versions but yea.

EDIT: I actually take it back that I regret my Round 1 purchase, MVC3 art work is not appealing to me xD

$179, OUCH. given the state of the strength of our currency. that is plain robbery!

Canadian Joysticks has the Qanba Q4 for $129 pre order. Hmm, i think i know my decision. And it’s tri modded with Aki PS360
Qanba Q4RAF Real Arcade Fightstick

i love how it pictures MVC2 art instead of the normal MVC3 art

i wonder why everyone calls an ps360 a tri mod
it doesn’t make any sesne whatsoever

isn’t it because it you also use it on PC as well?

The Qanba pre-order is so damn tempting. Too bad I’m broke. ):

Thanks, added! I think overall I’d get an MvC2 stick for $155, I like the artwork better

Anyone know what the shipping costs from the Canada-cup store? because i really want a chun stick lol but if they do not ship then ill probably get the Qanba pre-order. if you need the shipping info its to scarborough, Ontario.

it’s 25 bucks for shipping i’ve heard.

thanks i ended up getting the qanba because its already multi compatible and i hear it isnt so bad. Chun stick can wait hopefully they don’t go extinct.

I went with the Qanba too, I already have a Chun stick so I had to mix it up. haha

i dunno Q4 looks pretty ugly to me w/ that slant near the bottom

This thread needs a sticky, srsly, it was so hard to find sticks till i found this thread.

just bought a stick thanx to this friend, we really need a sticky for this.

Really? The slant on the Q4 makes people not want to buy the Q4?? It’s only possibly less than half an inch shorter than the TE sticks and vice versa to the HRAP V series sticks in clearance space from the buttons to the slant. Considering that Qanba went tri-compatibility(PC/360/PS3) in place of a wood case makes it a better trade up from their previous line-ups($129 USD for a Qanba Q3 Empire Arcadia, $119 USD for Q3 360 and $109 USD for wireless PS3 Q3).

Despite the Q2 being $20 less than the Q4 and only PC/PS3 compatible from CanadaJoysticks, I would go with the Q2 because the case and form factor appeals to me more than tri-compatibility(wood case, PCB should be common ground, simple rectangle form factor and simple plexi-shape for easy graphic mod)…and plus it’s near identical to the Q3. As for the Q4’s PCB, I’m sure it’s Qanba’s own PCB since it’s been in development either before or the same time as Akihabarashop’s PS360 PCB.

I bought my PS3 Qanba Q3 for $160 CAD after shipping and taxes last year from Play-Asia then later had it dual modded which required gutting out the original PCB because the PS3 wireless PCB was different from the rest. A custom job like that including labor, parts and converting the charging USB port to a functional detachable USB port was an additional $130.
