The Brotherhood of Steel hates the NCR. I’m not sure if they will shoot you on site if you are wearing NCR gear but I wouldn’t risk it if you find their bunker (slight hint, if you see a sandstorm in a valley a little NW of mojave outpost that’s probably where the brotherhood is hiding).
I think the quest you “failed” has an alternate way to complete it I believe.
Yeah, I was thinking it was the alternative to getting NCR help from the Mojave Outpost that the shitty Deputy Beagle gives you - grabbing a guy from there to sheriff for the town. I would of figured that quest would of kind of disappeared after I completed it by going the NCR route though. Huh …
Also tested professionally, and basically what he said.
Also, Castlevania Lords of Shadow making release on PS3 with a bug that corrupts your save data and is easily repeatable = Mercury Steam or Kojima paying off SCEJ to look the other way. No fucking way a bug like that would have been missed and passed submissions.
Apparently Boone tends to loot enemies every now an then. I just checked his inventory and the dude had a mini-gun, marksman carbine, some armor and several other random things.
I just got to Vegas and did all the opening stuff…
New Vegas
Spoiler
I went up, saw Mr House, came out, went and visited benny, took him to the suite and killed him, took the chip and his suit, now wandering around the casino everyone cheers for me and greets me nicely haha
But I met the Yes Man bot, and god damn it seems like the possiblities are endless as to what I can do next
haha, i’ve had this for a few days now and i haven’t even gotten to new vegas…but i’m level 19 lol. all these damn side stories keep pulling me away. this game is pretty fun but a few things i don’t like:
lots of glitches. i’ve fallen into rocks climbing mountains like, 4-5 times already(but i can’t jump out of them). the tunnel to boomer country has a staircase that i always fall through that puts me in the exit. got to camp mccarran and the xbox freezes. i guess a game this large with so many variables you should expect a glitch or two, but damn…it didn’t happen to me that often in fo3, just a few freezes here and there.
perks. this bothers me a ton. blah blah fo1 and 2 every 3 levels, i started with fo3 though and this is so painful to me. not that the game is HARD even on hardcore or anything, but i’ve always liked picking up perks that are considered “fun.” at the end of fo3 you basically felt like an absolute monster, with or without the dlc content. with the maximum being 15 perks, you really can’t blow too many perks on things like fo3 (which sucks, cause i blew a bunch of perks on garbage already). they essentially make you narrow down the field of weapons a lot imo. i had weapons mapped all over the place in the last game, but this time, i’m keeping only like, 3 guns.
i am a huge fan of the companions though. in fo3, at a lot of junctions in the game, it felt TOO desolate. here, not so much. and, they are also great for being pack mules. all the ones i have encountered so far even have quests. gauss rifle + scope = one shot sneak kill city. leveled a whole town while being a million miles away.
The glitches are kinda sad. This game is just so good otherwise. This has the heart and soul FO3 was kinda missing. FO3 was awesome and a generation defining game for me, but it was a little cold and bare. Even though it was the third entry in the series (4th if you count Tactics) it was still a new beginning, somewhat like MGS was to the Metal Gear series.
NV expanded on everything, put in tons of people and side missions and nicer environments then fucked it all up with pathetic graphical glitches and save data corruptions.
Btw, my brother went and got the Explorer perk so I got a chance to see the entire map. Essentially it’s mostly just the middle. A good maybe 1/8th or more of the left and right side each are pretty much empty. Which is fine actually. They put more work into the places so it’s worth visiting a lot of them, and that’s better than having a hundred empty caves or ruined building with nothing in them that all look the same.
I think this game is kind of unbalanced. I sort of feel like unarmed breaks the game, but maybe I’m missing something with the other weapons. With Unarmed and Pushy I can wipe out groups of enemies fairly decently, especially since each punch sends them flying off in the distance while you look to recover AP or deal with others. Either they fly far away or they fall over paralyzed. Half the time they just croak with one shot anyway. Plus there is no need to carry bullets. Pushy is also pretty easy to find early on in the game. If you haven’t used Unarmed and haven’t used this weapon you owe it to yourself to try it out just to watch the enemies fly away. It looks like they got hit by a nuka grenade head on every time. It still hasn’t gotten old and I’ve hit people hundreds of times and watched them fly, including the entire Legion camp. Next time I might use Bloody mess just to watch them explode while flying away.
I finally got my first companion. : D I fixed up ED-E with some parts.
Sooo can he fight at all? It looks like he has a gun barrel on the lower front side of his body, but I’ve yet to hear or see him fight anyone. I had him set to passive, but I assumed that would mean he wouldn’t start a fight, but would help me if I got in one. I guess I’ll just have to experiment. At the very least he’s good for storage and the extra sensory range.
Is their any worthwhile use to the Reloading Bench? I was going to try and make some .556 bullets for my Service Rifle since I’m running low and can’t really find any to buy, but apparently … it takes breaking down a bullet to make another one? .___. There are so many parts that go into just one bullet, and I haven’t seen powder or primer around anywhere, just from breaking down a bullet you already have. It’s not like the parts aren’t specific so I could break down an ammo type I don’t use to make one that I do. Am I missing something here?
Vendors sell some of the primers and powders in box form, I think you get about 25 or so a box, but I’m not sure. Also generally each ammo type, outside of casing, can be made with at least one other ammo type. That is at least 2 should break down to the primer and powder type you need.
But yes, it still sucks. MFC cells are too damn heavy in Hardcore mode (or Annoying mode as it should be called) but otherwise they seem to be the only prevalent ammunition in the game. The only thing Hardcore mode does is force you to make 10000 trips to a safehouse in order to carefully ration the equipment you have on you, as well as spreading it around on your pack mules (while praying they don’t die). You can also turn energy ammo into more powerful ammo pretty easily and that will help reduce your ammo total. Which is also just more annoying though than anything else, especially since most of the time you should just be punching people.
That’s probably why you should use Unarmed. I have an Energy weapon as backup that I never use. I’m on Very Hard and I’m not sure if there is any difference at all from Normal. I suppose I probably take more damage…if I ever really got hit it would be a problem I guess.
As for Ed-E he does fight. He shoots a laser. Make sure he’s not on melee, he probably can’t melee.
Havent been able to put as much time as I’d like, but I was feeling weak compared to my FO3 guy, then I find the rebar club. Even with a default 15 melee I feel like a god once again!
Just getting pissed off at the multiple level in-building map unable to clearly find your way out bullshit. They could have fixed this from FO3. I quit FO3 for a while because of the Statesman hotel.
