The burned man was planned to be in fallout: van buren before it got scrapped. He wasn’t specifically named as such, but he could be found being hung, when the main character could recruit him. he is supposed to be one of the toughest companions you could recruit and would be covered in bandages from head to foot from bad burns. he also hates the legion.
Ok it looks like its pretty stable now so time to play this game.
One problem though, I can’t make a completely retarded character (1 Intelligence). Booo! I want to play using a completely retarded fella like in Arcanum.
BTW I just went immediately to the prison and killed everyone there before finding Primm, how do I do the Sheriff for Primm mission now? The head NCR guy doesn’t seem to be interested in helping me at all (speech and barter levels are too low) and the other guy who could be sheriff is dead.
Did you wipe out all the Powder Gangers in Primm? You should do that before trying to talk to the NCR about getting a replacement sheriff.
So I finally went to The Strip after being Lv 30 for a while. Just looking to finish the game now, so I can start my next playthrough. I got hit with so many damn missions though, and I don’t know which ones I should do. I’ve been trying to stay morally good, but I don’t know if I can finish the game without trying to take over The Strip.
I think Veronica may be stuck in the “whats up” dialog glitch. I will try some ish in the wiki about fixing it, but fuck I spent hella time getting all that shit for the “I could make you care” mission hoping to see the objective completed pop ups. Horrible.
Sheriff quest starts from the deputy or somebody in Primm not NCR
Also, you can make a 1 int character and you get special dialogue options from it
yeah, your stats affect your dialogue choices in a few situations.
like having high luck, you get the opportunity a few times to just bullshit your way through encounters with lucky guesses
high charisma, you can play around with the kids at Nellis and it raises your rep with the boomers very quickly
If you have absurdly low intelligence it is said that Arcade Gannon will take pity on you and become a companion without a speech check, while saying something to the effect of, “It looks like you REALLY need some help.”
What do you guys think of a build that dumps perception and charisma? I’m thinking something like:
S - 8
P - 1
E - 8
C - 1
I - 9
A - 6
L - 7
I’m so confused with what I should do now that I’m in the end game with all the Ace in the Hole missions that revolve around the Platinum Chip. I don’t know who I’m fucking over or what I should be doing. ~__~
Ace in the Stuff
Spoiler
I’m trying to be totally moral and side with the NCR. I’m just trying to kill Benny and get out of the Legion Camp right now, I don’t think I should report back to Caesar considering I didn’t destroy what was in the bunkers. I don’t know if I can get out without his say though. I upgraded the Securitrons, which apparently, I can use for whatever purpose I want. I don’t really want to side with House, but I think I have to go back and see him. The only NCR mission I have right now is about going to see the Boomers, they haven’t really been involved with this stuff at all.
I found some place near me that claims to repair 360s: 360 Pros - Repair Services for the Xbox 360
It might be worth trying, especially if it’s a half hour fix. I’m still waiting on my computer to be shipped. It will be awhile…so maybe I should stop by tomorrow to this place and see if they can fix it. The Xbox would of course die again within another year or two I’m guessing, so maybe I should just sell it before then…
What’s a good build for Energy Weapons, SRK?
edit: Keep in mind, I’ll be on Hardcore more than likely.
you can leave the legion camp after upgrading the securitrons no problem
None really. MF Cells weigh too much and all the decent energy weapons use up too much ammo per shot. The only solid one would be the YC6, which uses 4 ammo per shot and reloads between every shot. You can’t use it in VATS either because there are bugs for damage on it anyway.
So essentially for Energy the only thing you need is to get the skill up to 100, and maybe if you want Meltdown you can get that too for the perk. Avoid all the VATS related perks as they are worthless to you. Pack Rat may actually be useful but it’s a very high Barter requirement. I would only do that if I was using the bug. You might want a high-ish AGI as that impacts reload speed, but you should be sniping at enough of a distance that even a 6 or 7 should be good enough I’d think.
Cap to 35 in the DLC.
Yeah, I went back to him to see what would happen and it all turned out okay, then I ran the fuck away. After fighting Benny to the death with machetes. lol
I think I officially lost EZ-E though. He has just totally disappeared. I know he wasn’t set on Wait anywhere. He followed me into the Boomer base, I specifically remember him being around cuz people were using the ‘I can do something about your robot problem’ line around me. Then somewhere between going to the Generator room and the Hangar he just disappeared. I looked around the base for him and can’t find him, and he’s not back in Primm. : /
Shit sucks. Mainly cuz he had all of my Misc. items on him. I had a ton of shit to make Weapon Repair Kits and all my medical equipment. Fucking glitchy ass game.
Sadly a lot of people have told me that Energy Weapons and Hardcore don’t really mix and I really don’t wanna do Unarmed again because as easy as it made things. Maybe I’ll just go Guns.
You’ve been to see house, right? Followers can’t come into that room, they get put on wait, check outside or the lobby of the Lucky 38
Nah, he’s not outside the Lucky 38 or Caesar’s Tent, I know he was with me after leaving those places. He definitely disappeared at some point while I was at Nellis.
If you fast travel, your companions come back. If they don’t show up, they were either dismissed, put on hold, or dead (if you’re on hardcore). Or you just have a really bad bug, I assume you’re playing on console? If you’re on PC you can get your companions back with a console command.
Two ways I’ve read about to get them back:
repair the elevator in vault 22 and go to the bottom floor. Theres some code that teleports your followers to you that acts different than anywhere else.
The other way is check the front gate of caesers legion but it sounds like you’ve already checked there
The latest patch shows where your companions are on the map… was that PC only patch?
I know he’s not on Wait, I’m not on Hardcore and I’ve been fast travelling a bunch. The elevator in that Vault might actually work though. I remember seeing something about them always coming on that elevator with you even if they’re on wait. I need to try that out.
