Damn. So there’s no way to get to the loudspeaker place huh? Damn.
I think it’s just some place out there in between two huge buildings in the chevy chase area I think
I just borrowed Fallout 3 from my friend and wow, this game really reminds me of Oblivion. (Same makers obviously).
I’m trying to go for Melee styled character, Oblivion style.
But is it me or is this game harder than Elder scrolls?. or is it because I’m trying to get close and whacking them with a bat?
I’m not sure but I’m starting to regret choosing a melee character.
I would think you would want to use VATS a lot if you were melee, since it would be easier to target where you want to hit, but yeah, its probably gonna be harder cause everybody will try to shoot you later.
You’re going to need a gun to get at those far-off attackers with guns, there’s no other way. Unless you’re mad stealth all the time everywhere you go, and I don’t think you want to play the whole game in sneak mode.
Aw sht, I already sacrificed crazy points for melee and those endurance stuff.
But I did go for explosives. Are explosives good?
I tried the grenade and it always kills them 1 hit. :wow: (Still in the beginning)
start to put points in sneak and pickpocket so you can reverse-pickpocket mines(you’ll end up with tons) into enemies. It’s so awesome.
Actually, Vats with melee just attacks them generally. You can still do damage to limbs, you just can’t target them. VATS for melee is more useful for closing the gap inbetween you and your attacker (you can teleport a small, small distance to them, and if they run away you’ll keep on attacking), I’m pretty sure you also don’t get hit by other people while duking it out.
Melee, generally does need other skills to support it, sneak is obvious. Small guns is good if you have a sniper rifle/rail gun for limbs, explosives is nice too, grenades have decent range and mines can help soften up melee attacking enemies before you fight them. Energy weapons is another alternative, since there are some hard hitting weapons that are relatively easy to get (A321’s rifle, tesla cannon, if you have broken steel)
Cool. Got a free premium Fallout theme for xbox for buying all of the dlcs.
I posted in the currently playing thread but, I just started playing fallout 3, I don’t like the game lol, but I can’t stop playing it.
I’ve been playing it for like 4/5 hours and im only at megaton city. I guess since it’s not linear i’m lost as all hell just walking around picking locks ( took me a couple of pins to realize how to figure out which way to pick the damn locks ) and messing around. A friend of mine said there is no way to really beat the game… you just kinda walk around doing whatever and it doesn’t end unless you just run out of content.
Is that true? I’m use to games ending at least story wise and then you can free play but I was told this just goes on lol.
thanks for linking that wiki by the way i’ll be checking that out tonight.
The game has a story, and it does have an ending. Find your dad.
Shiskabab + Pyromaniac skill + high melee = rape.
But sometimes you will need some range, aka turrets and stuff melee can’t hit. Everything else you’ll dominate.
I leveled up a stealth/sniper based character and I’m starting Broken Steel.
I must say that I’m really addicted to reverse-pickpocketing grenades onto enemies.
Was anyone else really dissapointed with Mothership Zeta? I almost cant be bothered to finish it.
Anyone here play FWE? FWE is so gdlk.
Agreed. After how detailed all other expansions/DLC were, this just seemed like some random space-themed hallway shooter. =/
I plan on picking this up in a few weeks when the Game of the Year addition hits but I have played it before and was pretty angry at the map system, for example, telling me to go south and I cannot go south due to a giant wall in the way. Makes the game take forever to do anything lol.
^ i dont get your complaint. it tells you to go south because thats where the objective is. it doesnt take into account what obstacles are in your way. i havent heard of a game that does that
Yup, and absolutley everything looks the same! If i get one more damn [insert useless random alien weapon, which is no match for my trusty Victory Rifle] i dont know what id do.
I find it helps. Sometimes taking the sceneic route is way more rewarding.
