A big part of my game, when I was playing fallout, was to reverse pickpocket mines and grenades into foes. Especially when you get way too many mines in the game as is, especially during the whole Wasteland Survival Guide thing.
Just approach as if you’re going to pick their pocket, and goto your inventory instead and click on a mine or grenade, it should automatically pop you out of the inventory screen.
Now get some distance. You want to reverse pickpocket for the kill, then hide out when they’re about to explode so no one sees you when they hear the noise.
btw Kromo, the Guass Rifle was good, it knocks enemies down giving you time to reload it. It sucked in VATS though, the damage wasn’t in VATS somehow.
I haven’t played Point Lookout or Mothership Zeta, but I played everything else with the game up to the finish of Broken Steel, and I’ve gotta say… some of the items the DLC gives out are broke as shit. And I played through the game on very hard.
That chinese stealth armor? The last part of broken steel, I just wore that shit the entire time and it was cake. I shouldn’t have. But I was just trying to get the game done, that’s all.
If I ever play through fallout 3 again, it’ll be heavily modded.
To those playing the PC version, check out fallout3nexus
It’s gonna be brutal, but I’ll hold out for the goty edition. If my damn xbox didn’t have red rings, I would’ve got the 360 version in the first place when it came out
Just chugged through Broken Steel and I’ve gotta say…the game would’ve been about 80% more fun if you got that shit early on and had the ability to shoot down copters with it the entire game.
Haha yeah there’s that. My character had 100’s on all skills and SPECIAL stats. Paralyzing palm + silent running + ninja + pyromaniac (shishkebab) etc.
And yeah Chinese stealth armor breaks the FUCK outta Fallout. I did everything on very hard but used it exclusively through Point Lookout and Mothership Zeta. None of the enemies could even touch me unless I used a regular unsilenced gun.
The weapons from Mothership Zeta kinda blow. I maxed out the Destabilizer and even with a 206 damage rating it still loses to A321. The epoxy is too good though, all of my unique weapons are maxed out now.
Bought Fallout 3 right before the steam weekend deal. I enjoyed it, but I think it lacked the magic that Oblivion had. It felt a lot more empty and with less to do, but this could be due to the setting.
i have been temping to buy fallout 3 GOTY edition. (i never played fallout 3 before)
but wtf, uncharted 2 comes out on the same fucking day. do you guys think uncharted 2 will have more replay valve? (i like both fallout and uncharted style games)
i dont wanna buy both because i’m going to get tekken 6 in the same month.
Helllll naw. Fallout’s replay value is fucking INSANE. Even without the expansions it’s bananas, so imagine what it’s gonna be WITH em. I cant even start telling you about it cause I don’t even know where to begin.
The paralyzing palm perk is the best, you can take out any single enemy down and just finish him off while he is down, I swear
And also after i activated project purity, i could not get any followers except dogmeat’s pup, they’re dialouge suggests that i already have somebody with me…
If they do it like they did oblivion and morrowind it was the original game and then the dlc on another disk. Granted I only have experience with the 360 and PC versions of oblivion and only the pc version of fallout and morrowind, but it should be the same deal.
