Fallout 3

broken steel level 30 basically means you don’t have to get educated or comprehension anymore. lol you’ll get 100 in almost everyting except barter (who the fuck needs to be 100% in that?) and speech and maybe unarmed or melee.

i <3 nuka grenades + pyro. Demo expert doesn’t affect them though :frowning: but sneak critical nuka grenade is more satisfying than a nuke (and won’t kill you if you throw it upclose in vats).

level 30 nuclear anomaly is the most worthless perk. lol I thought it said “if your health gets lower than 20%” but it they actually mean “20 health points” and its not instantaneous eruption.

There’s no reason for charisma to be higher than 1 unless you need the child’s heart perk (4 ranks of CH, if you need to enter vault 87 without going to paradise falls) or you are going for animal friend (6 ranks IIRC). Put that in perception or agility, both more important SPECIALS. Perception is great if you are the sneaky type like me because you could see them in your radar before you see them with your eyes and high perception pretty much guarantees you land the first hit everytime. Just keep in mind you can wear hats + bobblehead + ant sight so you get +3 perception already without Intense Training.

They should’ve made it so the higher your charisma is the more companions you could bring with you so it isn’t so worthless.

If you are going to get comprehension + educated anyway you could lower your Intelligence because you are getting the same amount of points per level up.

I fucking hate that the bloody mess perk. If I blow off a dudes head their right leg should explode too.

I actually decided to replace Bloody Mess with Cyborg in my build. My tag skills are Melee Weapons, Energy Weapons, and Repair. Other skills I’m raising are Lockpick, Science, Medicine, Sneak(not actually using it, it’s just so I can get Ninja in Broken Steel), Speech, and maybe Explosives. Honestly, though, I’ll end up having 100s in almost everything before I even hit level twenty.

Anybody here got the Firelance?

I saw the trail on the sky and found alien cells on the ground but I couldn’t find it! Is there supposed to be an alien ship with it? fuck it only happens once per PC IIRC, lol and I got it when I made a character with 1 luck.

Argh I keep on goign back and forth in the area where I found the cells but I still can’t find it. It’s in the area near temple of union in the barn on the hill with a computer log that used to be a settlement.

EDIT:
hmmm Fallout 3 wiki says Nuka Grenades are unnaffected by pyro perk. lol that’s how much damage it does I guess, even without perk benefits it does crazy damage.

Those Ghoul Reavers are some tough sob’s to take down. During broken steel I told Fawkes to take a hike so he would’nt be taking away my kills and XP. Big mistake. The enclave are pretty harmless but when I see more than one reaver about I run.

I’m like 99% sure they are

I played through the entire game and Broken steel without any companions, wasn’t too tough. I think at one point I did nuke a group of ghouls that had a couple of reavers.

bottle cap mines are all business, much easier to arm as they have .5 weight, and with 3 schems and the plentiful ingredients, its on all day. taking out super mutants and enclave with 2 ranks in demo expert and the bloody mesh perk, im doin work.

my chara is all good karma , with dogmeat dead, leaves me without some of the more interesting things to do like multi companions, but im start a new game and make a better build

an interesting note, i did some speech options for tenpenny tower quest, got part way through, and tenpenny disappeared, dudes never around anywhere. so thats fucked. missing out on good exp and caps.

damn this game steals mad hours.

lvl 18 and 40 hours, and im like, I GOTTA start a new chara…fuckers.

Hmm, you can still complete the quest without taking a negative karma hit by killing the ghouls in their sleep. Talk to them and run away (they’ll follow you) from the other sleeping ghouls so they won’t hear anything.

 Bloody mess is my favourite.

yeah i copped charon and then we blasted roy mike and bessie, so i took the low rent pass.

gonna download broken steel cuz this lvl cap sucks.

started a new chick, being max strength endurance and luck in 101, killed everyone except overseer, passed speech checks, and took all decent value items. before exiting a reassigned tag and special, walked into sunnyvale and scored lvl 3. so 2 keveks immediately, went to mega did repair, disarmed bomb, picked some locks, went back to sunnyvale, passed speech check, killed silver, and went to score jericho. lvl 4 with a helper in one hour. nice, also only playing on v.hard, this is work.

gonna plan out having jerico and charon, or jericho clover and maybe another.

fallout is too much, dlc tomorrow for business.

an MMO of this game is inevitable.:bluu:

It’s already being made.

Why did it take me so fucking long to play this game???

Getting a headshots in VATS with bloody mess with this playing on the radio is fucking amazing.

God, I love everything about this game. So much better than Oblivion.

I despise anyone that hates on the soundtrack. This is easily one of the best soundtracks in a game, ever.

It’s good, it’s way better than vanilla Oblivion, cause I didn’t like that and thought it was too plain and lonely world.

But vanilla fallout 3 vs modded oblivion?

Nah man, even I can’t deny how good modded oblivion is. I never even played oblivion until it came out on steam last week, fuck playing it vanilla I put like almost 100 mods in it. And it’s so damn fun I can’t stop playing it.

I’m a fan of modded games now thanks to that. I can’t wait till fallout 3’s mods step it up, then I’ll be playing again - on some brand new shit.

tesnexus and fallout3nexus

so PS3 finally get an expansion.

well too bad, i fucked up by getting that version, since ps3 oblivion was supposedly better than 360. now since my 360 is modded im just gonna start over on that edition. and by the time they do goty, all expansions will be on disc…able to be burned, like the disc you can get now with pitt and operation.

Point Look is fucking brutal on very hard. No companion and the fact that the enemies drop useless items and no armor wears on you.

Well I started over and took the chinese stealth armor. Doesn’t seem too bad now lol.

Random note- If you max out Workmen’s Coveralls (Point Look item) and reverse-pickpocket Crazy Wolfgang he can repair your items for you up to 91 (you have to invest twice into him with Uncle Roe though).

DO NOT STORE YOUR ITEMS IN THE CALVERT MANSION.

lol the point lookout freaks also don’t seem to be affected by crippled legs.

chinese stealth armor + perforator, crouch and shoot at them all day. lol. Gets boring after a while though, I brought in all my nukes + fatman when I came back to poit lookout.

Subtle.

Store your stuff at Herzog Mine. Place is stylin’.

oh btw, I got firelance on a new character/save even though fallout wiki says it only happens once per PC (maybe because I couldn’t find it the last time it crashed).

Anyone tried 3+ permanent followers? I know you get jericho, then go to paradise, fire him, hire clover then rehire jericho immediately before he exits then get dogmeat, try to hire 3rd person, kill dog meat, hire 3rd person? I guess get puppies perk and repeat for more followers. I haven’t tried more than 2 that isn’t with dog meat.

I want to get charon but I don’t know where in underworld I could explode dogmeat close enough to hire charon, at this point it takes 40 bottlecap mines + nuke sneak critical to effectively kill dogmeat :/. I guess I could just shoot him with conventional weapons although that would take forever, maybe use up all the alien ammo on him.

I tried 50 bottlecaps + nuke (MIRV) sneak critical with better critical and ninja perk on fawkes and it took off 3 bars of health. lol, I don’t even know how I could stack more than 50 bottlecaps near enough to hurt him let alone use the 300 or so it would probably take to kill him.
