Fallout 3

I know, but I am HELLA buff.

I was referring to rooks lol. I’m stuck in the stupid lamplight caverns the compas is telling me to go somewhere but it’s a deadend barrier any help?

^Are you trying to get in the vault? You have to talk to the mayor first about going to the vault and depending on your speech/science skill, you can either go through murder pass (the mayor takes you there) or he tells you to talk to joseph to where the alternate entrance with the broken computer terminal is (joseph will escort you there).

Super Sledge Hammer is only fun if you have bloody mess so its guaranteed to sever limbs everytime.

Lincoln Repeater is awesome, plus its impossible to repair over it. :stuck_out_tongue:

Nuka Grenade is my favorite weapon right now. 3 schematics = 3 nades (even though demolition perk doesn’t seem to affect it :frowning: ) = AWESOME!

So the Nuka Grenade is worth building? I had always wondered, since I’ve never used any grenades other than Frag.

It does like 500 dmg and with 25 AP you can stop everything rushing you. It’s like a mini-mini-nuke and doesn’t kill you if you throw it point blank in VATS.

cons:

  • Quantums are hard to come by (although since I got 3 schematics I carry 99 nuka grenades. lol) although the rest of the ingredients are the most commonly found items in the game.
  • VATS is only effective on non-sloping terrain (City) because the grenade will roll down or up.

I haven’t read anything so I could be completely wrong but imo the best overall gun in the game is the A3-21 rifle. Ammo everywhere and 47 dmg and 2000+ val at 100 repair with plasma rifle. You really have no reason to use anything else once the Enclave show up.

But yeah I just finished the game and got all the achievements. I combined so many weapons without paying attention (happens after playing nonstop for hours) and lost The Terrible Shotgun, The Shocker, etc. Why the fuck they let you combine crappy weapons with awesome weapons makes no sense.

Might play it again on very hard but not right now :stuck_out_tongue:

Lincoln’s Repeater can be repaired with Hunting Rifles.

He means you can’t fuck up and use it to repair a hunting rifle.

Small Guns or Melee, depending on your build, rule the entire game.

If you go Small Guns, buff your Agility and Perception and Intelligence. If you go Melee, Buff your Strength and Endurance and Intelligence.

Remember, Intelligence grants you more skill points per level the higher it is.

Med is not too bad, but you get tons of health items relatively cheaply, and the Bobble is at the beginning of the game - so I’d fill that up late game.

Repair is nice, but you’ll get tons of guns off of corpses, so it’s middling, 'til mid game.

Sneak and Lockpick are fucking awesome, regardless of if you go Evil Neutral, or Good. I went Good the first run (my preferred way), and they were epic. Sneak + Small Guns=WIN. Lockpick=a hella lot more ammo and even better guns and such earlier on (I was toting a Flamethrower that I’d gotten out of a locked safe, at level 3 with like 10 in Big Guns, and was mauling).

Science is something you’ll want to keep mid-high too, though you’re bound to have a suit that’ll jack it up 10 points on your person. It weighs next to nothing, so it’s a great way to keep that skill buff. The same applies to Lockpicking.

It is advisable to actually put a couple or six of your perk points into stats as well.

Buff your primaries and Intelligence ftw.

ugh, weird vault 106 bug. After hallucinating near the entrance, I just fell off the map like I’m not clipped but I have weight. and after I try to reload the last save I can’t move at all.
:frowning: lame… wasted level 20 character. lol.

Beat it yesterday kind of disappointing but I guess it was expected to turn out that way great game though it doesn’t really wow you until you appreciate all the little things combined.

Melee @ 100+10 strength+fawkes super sledge+100 small guns=too good. I made the mistake of not putting shit into my endurance though.

My second run through I’m going to try sneak+lockpick buffing intelligence perception n science.

:woot:

Going for a character now with 100 in everything before level 20.

20 books per skill + comprehension perk = 40 pts + bobblehead (10pts) = 50 pts per skill already.

Max intelligence immediately before lvl 3 (swim directly to rivet city) + max luck (bobblehead + lucky shades + Ranger armor)

3 big guns perk = 15 x 3 = 45 points.

comprehension perk + 25 books = 50 pts per skill

I think its quite possible. Although, I think some books might be impossible to get, it should still get to 100.

lol at new dlc. Takes 2 hours to finish and it’s shit too.

GG!

btw, PC users have to pay for it too. For now.

The DLC is only for PC and XBOX right now right? … blah.

I just finished the game… was realy fun… the only trophy’s I missed was for hacking 50 terminals (i only got to like 40) and uhhh killing 300 poeple? (I killed 297 at the end of the game lol)… did everything else.

I’ll probably just sell the game now - it was a lot of fun but I don’t think I have anythign to gain by playing it again. Sure, running around melee style would be fun for the kill shots, but I think after awhile it’d get pretty boring for me.

And based on ^^ it looks like it’s not worth messing with the DLC. Too bad :stuck_out_tongue:

Really? Was free for me.

What dlc is on the 360? I didnt even know there was any. Anyhow im about 20 hours into the game again. I spent 25 hours on the 360 before it bust and I played about 30 hours on the ps3 while I waited for my 360. I started new again. I found dogmeat this time. That freakin’ dog is a dope though. He always gets stuck on shit, and im always running back to get him. Then I have to pick a different path so he will be able to follow me. Stupid mutt. But he is good for fighting. He tends to run out there and start fights with bad guys and I just hang out for a sec. They dont notice me so I get the “hidden” crit affect everytime I shoot them.

Right now im just doing the survival guide quests. Of course I end up wandering a lot while doing quest so I get side tracked and end up with other quests. Its a lot of fun just roaming around the waste land.

Operation Anchorage
800 pts expansion, I only have 400 :frowning:

Is it worth the money? I mean, is it really only 2 hours of game play?

where the hell do I find the dog?

I’m a melee beast at level 7. I pound miniguns out of super mutants hands.
